Ok I am FREAKING OUT

Ok.. So I have done a total of 5 drug tests... everything has been grand, all negative. Until this one. I don't know why. I did have to take an antibiotic for a UTI. I mean.. I think I tested about a week after I was done. I wouldn't think I would test positive for anything.. I didn't even think to fax them the prescription. Which If I can remember correctly it was Keflex. I was googling it and it said possibly cocaine. Idk. I am freaking out. The other thing, I tested after I left the gym, but only made had 1 water bottle. Maybe not even that. How much trouble am I in?!?!?!?!

- I also emailed the leader of the CANDO program as I have emailed her in the past and asked how I need to correct this. I also just started a new job. I don't want to mess anything up. I am so scared.

I was honestly thinking that earlier... I wish I would just let them post what I did and move on. Idk. Also, I just started a new job. I haven't told them about it yet, I just started Monday I know I need to. Its nothing to do with bedside nursing. Its Laser hair removal and facial injections, which I have done in the past. The company I am working for knows about my situation and are fine with it. Do I still need to inform them of my job even if I am doing nothing with like narcotics?

Over the last 2 weeks I go over and over what I have taken or done since that drug test. I took that abx.. I took a laxative I think..? I went out for sushi and had soy sauce, but I don't know. I just don't know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, and it still said positive on your stuff... and then it was ruled out. My list of drug tests are like negative and the date, and then this one 2/16 POSITIVE.

Wait till you speak with your caseworker.

No the original test result will always say positive. Running an ETG on the split or probably even another test on the split is a whole other test and that result will show separately. I am speaking of an ethanol positive only, those are not uncommon so it is standard to do ETG on the split to rule it negative. They run a confirmation test on the original which is why it takes the test result so long to come back. If you see a positive both the original and the confirmation test were positive. The Next Step will be you requesting that they do testing on your split which you will have to pay for. At least that is how they do it in Texas.

it said positive and still does. I suppose its because its positive for something so it remains but doesn't count against me.

That sounds about right here too in Arizona . Thank you so much. It's crazy how they don't call me or call me back .

Makes sense. Thank you so much. I guess I just wait...

Are you around someone that might set you up to fail these test? Is someone preparing your food other than you?

I'm actually super ocd about my food and meal prep alot. But occasionally I'll go out to dinner. Maybe 1 or 2 times a month... I've actually been very tigh lipped about my situation. I haven't told my friends... and I live alone.

I had a false positive for ETS (or ETG... I can't remember but it was only one of them). They did a PETH test (a blood test that goes back 3 weeks that detects binge drinking only), which was negative and nothing else happened to me. I'm from another state but just telling you what happened to me.

Good to know. I have not done any binge drinking or taken anything. So we'll see. I guess if they don't call me back I'm fine?
