What is your biggest pet peeve about being in nursing school or things that happened while you were in nursing school???
Don't you hate it when:
you study your *$$ off and still dont get an A!
when you hear nursing students say "ewww thats gross" or "it stinks in here, im gonna throw up" or "ew i cant chage a depends thats so gross" -that drives me nuts! i dont know how these students will make it in the world of nursing....
come on nursing students i know we all have something that really irks us about school (even though we all loooove it!)....
The HESI test was my biggest pet peeve. And now that I've passed the final and know I will graduate, I am so very sad that nearly half of my classmates did not make it from the last final exam.
That is sad! My best friend is in a similar situation. We are in the final stretch and after allll that she might not make it!
We had this one lady who did stand up and told everyone to shutup. She was the eldest in the class so everyone..including the proff for a second...shut up. It was hilarious !!!! :rotfl:God luv her.

LOL, I was not the oldest [close too it, though] student and several times would make it known lecture time is for listening.
Like previously mentioned, hated it when someone wanted to copy my notes... and they were in class during the entire lecture. :uhoh21:
I hated the grading system in my ADN program; 74 was failing, C = 75-81, B = 82-91 & A = 92 & above My GPA went down from my pre-reqs to the end of my ADN program. However, in my RN-BSN program got my GPA back up to respectable; 3.766.
Good luck ya'll in your nsg studies.
my big peeve is patho class right now. the instructor is new and she tries but she has zero authority. there are a bunch of students that make up the back row peanut gallery and they are always talking during class and they give the instructor a bad time! :angryfire it is all i can do not to turn around and holler....shad up will ya!!!!! but, you know i'm beary nice
How about the student with a prior degree in a certain field that needs to point it out ALL-THE-TIME!!!!!!!!!!IN class !!!!
AND proceeds to argue with the prof at any given moment for any point at all !!!
Ugh....

That student ain't too smart since the Professor is the one with the Grade Book, if you get my drift.

maybe pooh bear needs to be a grizzly bear sometimes & growl at the peanut gallery.
My biggest peeve is when two instructors give opposite explanations for something, it show up on the test and we all get it wrong, and then they tell us we misunderstood what was said.![]()
THIS DRIVES ME CRAZY !!!!
And it happens ALL the time. This is why it sometimes doesn't pay to study that hard because, someone who doesn't study much can do just as well as you because the teachers are not consistent in what they teach or how they test on the material.
I can't tell you how many times teachers have told us conflicting information. And they don't follow the textbooks either. Even when I've pointed out the right answer in the textbook ... the teacher still insisted the answer was "wrong." It almost gets to the point where doing all the reading actually hurts you on the test.
A lot of times ... you've got a better chance of getting the "right" answer by throwing darts at a board. It's totally random.

I agree ! When I was going to school for my LVN, I would never volunteer to do anything "scary", like put down an NG tube, in case I made a mistake and got kicked out of the program. As a result, I graduated with straight A's, but very little clinical experience. I am now taking pre-reqs for the LVN to RN program at my local community college, which brings me to my other pet peeve................There is a huge nursing shortage, and yet there are not anywhere near enough spots in the nursing programs for all of us who want to get in !!
