I live in Houston. It is terrible here not going to lie about that. But we will prevail.

All of the Texas coast will rebuild. I'm sorry for your loss. So many of my friends came home to nothing. I am just devastated for them. My heart breaks for everyone. I just want to win the lottery to help everyone. Watching my home town get demolished was just so painful.

I live in southeast Texas and if we wanted to help, there is no way on the freeways that we can commute. They are all flooded.

I know they are looking for help where Harvey first hit, in the Port A/Rockport/Aransas Pass area.

I would love to head to Texas and help out as an RN licensed in GA. I filled out an application through the American Red Cross found on the ANA website. I will look at Fastaff recuiter site as well. Thanks.

I've read the Red Cross keeps most of the money donated for a specific disaster for future needs, rather than giving it out for the people it was actually donated for! Also I feel the Red Cross pays its CEO too much!

Hey, question, I have an auto immune disease that I have had from birth. Never been told I cant donate blood and It is in remission but I wonder can I still donate blood? It isnt a disease that i caught, it is simply that my body attacks itself.

I live in Wichita Kansas and I am an RN, I would like to volunteer my time to help the victims of hurricane Harvey. I worked at the astrodome in Huston during Hurricane Katrina. I have no idea where I would report or even if I can get into Huston. Please can someone help me with this information? God Bless Texas!

Absolutely!! I contributed to the Houston Food Bank today. One of my cousins & her husband were evacuated by boat today, and it's iffy as to whether the water is going to go into their house. Another relative is still dry in her place as of now. If I was between jobs, I'd go help - I read that they need nurses, social workers, etc.

Go to this website to sign up to volunteer: TDVR The TxBON will also expedite licenses if the application is clearly marked for disaster relief. Now those who have multi-state licenses are good to go now.

As OrganizedChaos said, there are many other places to volunteer besides Houston.

As one in the process of moving to the Corpus Christi area, all the prayers, donations of necessities and help are greatly appreciated. I am thankful that my house came through the hurricane intact and it is good to know that where and what we purchased was able to survive the Cat 4 hurricane. In 2 weeks we will be arriving at our home in Corpus.

Nicely done. I am in Fort Worth and the scope of this event is just unbelievable. I plan to donate money and blood and hopefully help in any way I can.

3 shelters open in Dallas and preparing a 4th in the convention center to take in 5,000 people starting tomorrow.

They are going to have to evacuate Ben Taub hospital with 350 patients they are saying.

Just unreal. All these people are going to need homes and jobs. Not sure how you even do that. Thankful for all the dedicated people and professionals that are giving their all to help and for efforts like yours.

Honestly, I can't even imagine. I suspect the news doesn't even come close to the devastation. Thank you for what you do.

Is there a need for nurse aides to help eith hurricane

CNAs are a cornerstone to healthcare. Harvey or not, you are ALWAYS needed and MUCH appreciated!

We are Houston Strong!!!! Most people were out helping yesterday, we were in the rain donating and volunteering, we had to wait in lines to get into the few grocery and department stores that were open to buy items needed by people who were evacuated from their homes. A friend's sons and his friends from college worked through the night on Monday into Tuesday rescuing people from their flooded homes. It was gut wrenching to watch my city go under water like that. So much damage, so many lives changed forever, but by God's grace, we will get through this and we will rebuild, it may take time, but it will get done.

Thank you all so much for your love and support. Thank you.
