Thanks and have a great day!
Actually, I got what you voted for too. And I'm fine with that. Majority rules. This is America, and unlike most Americans, I chose to be here. It is still the greatest country in the world. But people are going to be in for a shock when the plan is in full force. It's not what they said it is, will cost too much, and is going to ruin health care.
Has the Gov never heard of baby steps rather then taking a running jump off a cliff.
So should that be the case, let's help them fix it.
Today i was doing my clinical rounds in the OR and all the surgeon kept saying to his circulating nurse was "dont drop anything we cant afford it under this new obama plan" or try not to use that...he was being funny, but most people that i have done rounds with thus far do not seem to excited about this new plan. Apparently its bringing on alot of new stressors in the hospital for the staff.

The consequences are unknown. Everyone is afraid of change until we adjust.
No because I see our children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren paying for it, plus it has already hurt senior citizens. They don't get a pay raise for at least three years, and some of the services are going to be eliminated.
I also am against killing little babies (late term abortion.) President Obama said he owned the national healthcare bill right from the beginning. Well, the dems made sure it was going to pass by having closed door meetings so we couldn't learn what deals they were making.
I disrespect many on capital hill for taking away from the seniors who worked hard all their lives to be able to live on a Social Security check. That check is the only source of income for a lot of us, including me, and I live below the poverty line already.

The douignut hole loophole that prevented payment for prescription drugs for seniors has been eliminated by this bill. Protection of your children and grandchildren should have been considered earlier, when the last administration greatly increased the national debt.
In the grand scheme of things, it's probably good. I (unlike most of you) remember when the Medicare bill was rammed thru the Congress and the near riots that ensued. This is no different. We WILL learn to live with the law of the land. What I resent is the secrecy and deliberate fog which the legislators used to pass this bill. Unlike the days of the 60's most of our voting citizens are not afraid to use the web to research bills such as this. Consequently as a result of the legislative tactics that were used, I am no longer either a Republican or a Democrat......I now am an activist in our local chapter of the Tea Party.

If you resent the "secrecy and and deliberate fog," stop watching 24 hour cable television which was not around to uncover the "secrecy and and deliberate fog," that shrouded passage of Medicare. In politics, on any side, there will alway be secrecy and deliberate fog. I wish you sincerely good luck in keeping it out of your Tea Party.
I'm never glad when a huge decision is made and the uncertainty looms over us. But I voted yes because something had to be done. I hear a lot of rhetoric, mostly from the right. I hear Obama is personally going to sit around and decide our fates. I hear all the doctors are going to up and retire. I hear many things, most are just half truths, wild intrepretations, and some are just flat lies. Nobody and nothing is perfect. All we can do is try our best.

I would hope someone would come to the Ed if "they" thought "they" had a possible STD ( esp.if there is no pcp). But it sounds like your being more specific about the type of person that comes to your Ed
for any of these problems. As a nurse, I wouldnt make judgement on anyone who steps in to the hospital for help regardless if its something small or not. Regardless of fake nails, gucci bag, " Draped in gold", cell phone ( which almost everyone has BTW). Just maybe someone will not have a payment at the time of service( I dont remember payment arrangements in any of my nursing curriculum) Your suppose to be an Advocate for your patients and Not a Critic.
*Sincerely, A Nurse*
