Nurse Trainee Programs 2013

Hello everyone. I would like to ask if you know any hospitals in metro manila accepting nurse trainees this august 2013? I graduated last april 2012..I completed my bls acls (AHA), IVT trainings first and now I plan to apply to hospitals..my work experience is limited (2 mos staff nurse trainee in a dermatology clinic). Help pls. Thank you!

I think SAME hospitals do HAVE. My friend who have been in SLMC-QC didn't push thru after her PGNT. MONEY-MONEY Issue with QC's PGNT training. Seriously, when I heard what happened, THEY ARE JUST MAKING BUSINESS out there. They require IVT Training again (another FEE) to them even though they do have IVT License already. Take Note it is not ANSAP accredited. Also, they have this contract agreement. MONEY ISSUE AGREEMENT again. >.

You mean that's not included in the 10k fee yet?

Now I feel discouraged. :(

Don't be. Keep praying. Don't be discourage just because of those hospitals. There are a lot to come at the right time. I just need to set the minds of other people of being so hopeful with different trainings as my friend has been once hopeful about SLMC and been frustrated after. On a positive side, at least she gained experience though and realized that she would likely serve public hospitals.

Yes, it does not include in the 10k!

Why didn't you continue at SLMC GC? Can you share your side of the story?

I'm sure you could make it at MMC! :) Just keep on believing and praying. MMC is MMC. Don't

lose hope. I would love to work there. But I heard they are only processing 2012. I just passed last June so, I'm not getting my hopes up.

Just a few issues like transportation, like during the 3rd phase of the training I need to ride a cab most of the time because of my shift was usually pm and night shift and I don't want to be late, BGC buses has a lot of stop overs. It's costly on my part and there is this staffing issues also, I heard from my batch mates that some of them worked for 12-16hours. I was like, okayyyyy. :))

I suggest you follow up your application in MMC either thru call or personally. :)

I wonder if I can apply on SLMC-QC though >

Do you happen to know SLMC-QC's email address? or how to apply online? thank you!

Hi!

I'm from Albay and currently enrolled in the rnheals program due to end this december. I've had enough of nursing in the community setting so I'm planning to apply in hospitals in Manila. Do you have any recommendations? I particularly want to know if SAN JUAN DE DIOS is accepting nurse trainees and what are their requirements? also is it possible to apply during the weekends coz that's the only time that I have free. Plane tickets are expensive and I don't really wanna waste some much needed cash going back and forth...

hi guys! SAN JUAN MEDICAL CENTER is accepting nurse volunteers. it is for "free" :sarcastic: well, there will be a 300 pesos facilitators fee. i think its reasonable enough compared to other hospitals that are charging thousands of pesos. it is a 6 months training, more on bed side care; VS q1, IV push, IV insertion, I&O monitoring etc..but only the staff nurses are allowed to do the charting! but you can always read the patients chart so that you can familiarize yourself with nursing documentation. SJMC nursing service office conducts examinations for nurse volunteers every Friday only, its all about fundamentals, calculations, pharmacology, dont forget to bring your resume and school credentials

Hi yourstruly. Did you pass your requirements there or are you finished with the training? May I know their requirements and where to apply (HR or Nursing Office)? Thanks in advance :)

hi! Im still on my second month of the training..just bring you resume and school credentials, board rating certificate, board passing certificate, photocopy of PRC ID and IVT card ( if you dont have IVT yet, they conduct IV training too) Letter of intent addressed to the chief nurse, put all your documents in a long brown envelop, write your name on left upper side. but its ok if you don't have all the requirements because you can still submit it during your regular duty days..the process is pretty much easy and fast. I called them on thursday to inquire about volunteer nurse slot, they asked me to take the examination on friday, i was scheduled for orientation the following day then i started my ward rotation monday :woot:, you can pass your documents at nursing service office. SJMC is along n. domingo..Good luck
