Nurse Trainee Programs 2013

Published

Hello everyone. I would like to ask if you know any hospitals in metro manila accepting nurse trainees this august 2013? I graduated last april 2012..I completed my bls acls (AHA), IVT trainings first and now I plan to apply to hospitals..my work experience is limited (2 mos staff nurse trainee in a dermatology clinic). Help pls. Thank you!

Manila Doctors Hospital - Pass your RESUME in HR PADILLA (KALAW SIDE/BACK OF THE HOSPITAL) - Refer to Manila Doctors Thread here for other information.

World Citi Medical Center - Pass first your RESUME in the Lady Guard in the INFORMATION. Wait for the call/text from them for the exam and interview. But most of the time you can call them to UPDATE your application - Refer to TRAINING IN WORLD CITI (?) here for other information. July 2013 batch will start on 29. There is a training fee 5.5K for 7 weeks. I haven't paid yet. Money issues cause I am waiting for other free training.

Medical Center Manila - Just go there for the complete requirements. I will try to look for the photo I took with the requirements needed. I think it is 10k.

UST - Board Rating requirement ABOVE 80%. TOR, BOARD RATING, PRC LIC (All xerox) - Pass it to UST HOSPITAL (NSO). 3MONTHS (5k?)

AUGUST - PEDIA/MATERNAL

SEPTEMBER - MS WARD

I will try to remember other hospital that has training.

Where do you live anyway? :)

hi thanks for the reply! i live in katipunan (near ateneo).. I have passed my resumes in Lung Center, Capitol, and Commonwealth Medical Center and i have yet to follow up by next week.

I'm very interested in the training programs you listed above, mainly those for World Citi and Medical Center. I hope they still accept applications! How long did it take for them to contact you in World Citi? :)

Ah, Wow. You were able to pass your requirements in Lung Center? I thought they have the same issue with HEART CENTER. Backer System and they will not accept or they are in "freeze hiring". Anyway, I am not familiar with that on the North Side. I am living in South. For world citi, 2 weeks for the exam and 2 weeks for the interview. I followed up because I am aware of the training schedules because I have a batch mate who works there. It will be a good chance if you will push through with World Citi. The exam is fairly hard that you can pass it. Just perform well on the training and get the required grade for you to be listed in man power pooling. But it might take 6 months or more. But, I believe the exposure there is good as my batch mate's experience. Well for the Medical Center Manila, I suggest you go there directly. When I went there last Thursday to accompany my friend, it is kinda weird because before they said there will conduct training by August. But, now they said they don't have a schedule for training yet. For MADOCS and WORLD CITI, anytime they accept. Just go there. :)

Lung Center has a 4 month training program starting on August 25. they always accept applications. once completed, they will ask you to have a chest x-ray and PPD exam. if the results of your lab are ok, then i think you will be accepted in their training program. it costs 10k though..i am not aware if there are any exams or interview. i decided not to push through with it. I think it's just for training purposes, unlike other hospitals which use that period as your evaluation. no guarantees of being absorbed as staff.

the requirements for lung center (if you are interested) for post graduate course in respiratory nursing:

>Resume with latest picture

>TOR (including Diploma and RLE records)

>Board rating

>PRC license - current and valid

>PRC certificate

>Recent picture - 1 x 1 (2pcs) and 2 x 2 (1pc)

>Chest x-ray & PPD (c/o LCP)

>Brown envelope (long)

I tried in QCGH but they said their applications are closed as of late. The next batch of applicants are to be accepted around November-December (that's for the 2014 batch already). Capitol accepts applications but still no updates on their training schedule. They require at least a board rating of 78%.

Thanks again for the info. I'll probably visit World Citi this tuesday. You've been a great help! Thanks!! :)

**THEY WILL

Your welcome. I rather not apply in Lung Center if it is just for training purposes. LOL. It is nice to have training in Lung center if you want to be a respiratory nurse. Anyway, you try with those new hospitals in QC. Look for Pacific North (?) and Metro (?) I am not familiar with the exact names. I forgot them. Just check their respected threads. Yeah, try your luck with World Citi. Let us all be patient with training schedules. Hmm, Capitol, I will try to pass my application there. Try to explore other parts of the metro.. Makati Med also accepts applications...just try. Goodluck with World Citi!

May I ask if you have tried to apply in NKTI because it is also located along quezon ave with its neighboring hospitals LCP and PHC. Do you think they are also conducting nursing training program?

NKTI has a nurse training program and it costs around 15k i think. i don't know if there are still available slots for the next batch but you might as well try submitting your application as early as possible because there are a lot of applicants. :)

Yes, try to do walk-in applications as KFMA said. Inquire thru phone first: PKDF (Philippine Kidney Dialysis Foundation), NKTI, and HEMOTEK if you are interested in Dialysis. I believe they will have schedule for training I just don't know when. :)

Hello again. I just submitted my application in Makati Med. They only require these:

>Resume

>TOR

>Board rating

>Diploma

>board certificate (i'm not so sure..i forgot! sorry! just bring it in case)

The requirements are posted on the door of the HR office. You just have to submit them to the respective personnel. I was informed that as of now, they have no hiring or trainings scheduled. They also said that the process (of waiting for a response) usually takes around 6 months. You can follow-up from time to time (I plan to do that later on though).

As for Medical City Ortigas...just go to the HR department. You will see a huge box in the entrance wherein you'd place your application. they only require:

>Updated resume (with 2x2 picture)

>Board rating

>TOR

>Board certificate

>Diploma

>photocopy of PRC license

Lastly, I went to World Citi Medical Center. Just like what @sab-burgs said, you will pass your application to the lady guard and then asked to fill up a small form. the list of requirements are likely similar to the first 2 hospitals i listed. the lady guard advised me to follow up my application this friday if i haven't received a call or text by then.

Well, that's all. It is indeed a challenge to find a job but I know we can make it through this phase. :D

oh! last time I go in Medical City, it was March then I just log in a sheet of paper with some personal info, board rating and contact number and now they already accept applications. It was a good news so I think they probably needed nurses badly because when I read some threads here about medical city that in the past years they used to write nurse applicants on a login sheet. Well then goodluck, I hope my instinct is right.

About World Citi, don't worry they will contact you after 1 month as it happened to me. I pass the exam and interview, but unfortunately I turn down on it because its far from us and I will need to wait for 6 mons after you pass the evaluation regarding the hospital exposure. Overall the exam is easy, and the interview is like a conversation between your interviewee.

Why lately I keep on missing my wrong grammar and wording. LOL. I am not good in English specifically writing/grammar. LOL. I am trying to improve. :roflmao: SORRY. *RESPECTIVE in my previous post BLAH BLAH.

Anyway!

@KFMA: It is good to hear you have passed your requirements already to some hospitals. Okay, I don't want to burst your bubble with Medical City. AFAIK, they will hire nurses that undergo their different training, expensive training!!!! And, i have heard they have this BACKER SYSTEM... Another thing, really, MakatiMed said that they are not hiring?! LIAR MMC! haha. A friend of mine said that MMC is hiring nurses. Well, I guess, they will get from the nurses who are having their training there. Add to that is a box of resumes I saw when I passed mine. For the requirements, AFAIR, no diploma was asked when I passed mine for the third time last week. I am not that hopeful with MMC. Haha. Though I am positive that I will have a training soon, a free one.

Keep on following up WORLD CITI. You might be included in the 40 nurses they will entertain for training this July29. It is a first come first serve basis. I and my friend will might join other months of their training. We have both a call from different hospital that will provide free training that might lead to possible absorption. It is a better option for us as no payment needed. So keep on calling them. They have sometimes issues with inquiries regarding the exam and training. Just call the HR department not the training department when you call regarding the exam schedule. It is what I did because I haven't received anything from them. :)
