Location: Massachusetts
Experience: Just about 3 years; BSN
Specialty: ED
Facility: Large urban hospital
Base Pay: $33 and some coin
Differentials: Evening, night & weekend = $3, $2 and $3/hr, respectively.
OT: Anything over my regularly scheduled shift is time and a half.
Location: Massachusetts
Experience: 2 years, ADN
Specialty: Psych inpatient and Eating Disorder inpatient
Facility: small 2 unit facility located near Boston
Base Pay: $33
Differentials: Evening, night & weekend = 1.50 evening, 2.50 nights, 2.50 weekends, 1.00 for charge nurse
OT: Anything over my regularly scheduled shift is time and a half.
Location: Seattle
Experience: 36 years; BSN, Specialty Certification
Specialty: PACU
Facility: Medium-size, urban, University-affiliated, acute-care hospital
Base Pay: $56 and some coin.
Differentials: Evening, night & weekend = $2.50, $4.25 and $4/hr, respectively. BSN pay $1/hr. Certification pay $1.25/hr.
OT: Anything over 12 hr shift or 40 hr/week is time and a half.
Call: Mandatory call $4/hr, time and a half with three hour minimum when called in.

Not a typo. I make that hourly before differentials added in. I am per diem working full time hours on that rate. I purchased private insurance. So yes, "special circumstances" I suppose. But, my reality.
It allowed to pay off all my debt last year.

Yeah, special circumstances do apply. You have no sick days, no vacation days, none of the usual job protections as per diem has no guaranteed hours.
It's misleading not to mention that. OP is taking a survey of basic nursing salaries, not all the special circumstances that can jack up the rate.

Actually, the OP didn't specify anything of that nature. I explained my hourly rate and how I've obtained it.

Differentials: 10% off shift; 25% weekend; stackable (35% weekend off shift)
OT: Time and half; Double Time on holidays worked
Vacation Time (5 weeks per year); Sick Time ( 2 1/2 weeks per year)
