2016 Nurse Residency Programs

Hey I haven't seen a new post on this topic so I figured I'd start one. Just submitted my application for UCHealth today and am hoping for CPCU or Pulmonary. I also submitted to Children's Hospital Colorado. I've been reading past years threads about residency stuff and it seemed nice to have others that are going through the same thing.

Did you get an actual time yet? Or just an email letting you know you were going to be scheduled for an interview?

Have you also heard back from Children's hospital Colorado?/ does anyone know if we will get a rejection email? I believe it is past the deadline of hearing back for the August 2016 spots... but since there hasn't been an email with good or bad news, I'm unsure of what to think.

I just have one interview at UCH for the OR so far. I have not heard back from Children's and the other students I know who applied have not heard anything either. I was under the impression that we would hear one way or the other from Children's this week but I may be wrong.

I applied to Children's Colorado and still haven't heard anything.

I recently went back through allnurses.com and saw that Children's sometimes went 2 weeks past their date for notifying people. I know someone that works there as an aide and she said no one has been contacted yet. So let's cross our fingers we hear something this week! :)

@smithrm4 so sorry to hear that!!! Did you notice any change in your status on the application portal before you received your letter? Strange that they sent out rejections before interview invitations. Good luck with UCH!! Crossing my fingers for you :)

Yeah I got a no from Children's too. I also turned down my interview with pulmonary at UCH. Since interviews start May 19th I don't think I can swing a plane flight (I'm in Texas). The place where I have a job now was fine with a Skype interview and they were within driving distance. Thankfully it's with a residency in a unit I'm happy about in Austin, so no hard feelings :)
