2016 Nurse Residency Programs

Hey I haven't seen a new post on this topic so I figured I'd start one. Just submitted my application for UCHealth today and am hoping for CPCU or Pulmonary. I also submitted to Children's Hospital Colorado. I've been reading past years threads about residency stuff and it seemed nice to have others that are going through the same thing.

I still haven't heard from childrens colorado and I take the NCLEX tomorrow. I'm so stressed out!

I hope the NCLEX went well hamiltons12!! I'm sure you did great!! It must be such a relief to have it done!!

I have started to feel really sad about not hearing back from Children's. I feel like everyone has been called or emailed already and I just want to know where I stand. It's my dream job but I need to know if I need to make other plans.

Most people I know have not heard back from children's. Don't lose hope yet!!! I think they are just super super behind

Thanks everyone! I finished in one hour, had the minimum number of 75 questions, and feel pretty good about it, so fingers crossed!

I also still haven't heard from childrens colorado. Sounds like a lot of us haven't heard anything, so I'm sure they're just really behind.

From what I've heard from other applicants and other forums for the August start date, all calls for interviews have been made at this time and a potential list of alternates have been selected and notified as well.

There could still be a chance you could be picked and you just haven't heard. Wasn't trying to shatter your dreams by any means, just reporting what I've heard this far. I don't know this for a fact from CHCO, but it sounds like interview arrangements were made at the end of last week and Monday, and alternates were emailed yesterday.

That's a bummer to hear I've been incessantly checking my email..would just be nice to know either way! Thanks for the update ColoradoRN2016. I wonder why so many people were sent rejection emails a few weeks ago and then others like us haven't heard anything?

All just hearsay at this point, but wanted to add my knowledge of the situation. I could even be completely wrong, but it seems if people got calls last week and alternates were informed yesterday, rejections may be next. We shall see though! Either way, even if you aren't selected as a new grad for Children's, you can still be there someday. Keep your heads up ladies! Yall will be great nurses, so don't let this get you down. Colorado is crazy competitive.
