Nurse Residency/ New grad programs in SC?

U.S.A. South Carolina

Published

hi there! i am a nursing student due to graduate in june with my associate's degree, and i'm in the process of applying for jobs. i live in ohio, but i'm looking to move south, and i'm really considering south carolina. does anyone out there know about nurse residency or new grad training programs at hospitals around sc? i'm just looking for some helpful advice or insight that can give me an idea of where to look, or what to expect. also, will hospitals pay for your rn-bsn once you've been employed there for a while? any help would be appreciated very much! thank you

I know that Lexington Hospital, and Palmetto Health (both in Columbia) have new grad programs "externships"...i'm not sure about how to apply or if they'll pay for a BSN bridge program...but here's links to their sites.

Good Luck, and i'm sure you'll just LOVE the weather here ;)

you could also check into Providence Hospital

Specializes in NICU.

MUSC in charleston has new graduate programs as well.

Lexington Medical has a nurse residency, accepts a very small number of new grads into these two programs, med surg and cricital care, that is the only way new grads get hired at LMC at the end of your rotation you will be offered a job in one of the areas.
