Nurse Residencies in Charlotte, NC

Hi!

I'm applying to nurse residencies at Novant and Atrium Health in Charlotte, NC and just wanted to know if anyone had any experience with these programs. What the interview process looked like, how you like the hospital, etc?

Especially, what pay do new grad nurses at these hospitals start at?

Womens health

I don’t think most people have heard yet! I do know another girl from my cohort got an offer for womens health but I don’t know how/ when they are calling everyone.  I think it is going to take all week because there are so many of us. I would not be concerned at all if you have not heard. They told me it could take up to a week after they finish interviews to even make final decisions on placements.

I was thinking the same thing about atrium and pediatrics. But I will say someone in my cohort was told straight up by them that they “did not want them” and should not have expected to hear anything because  of how competitive it is!! I also applied for pediatrics for atrium and never heard anything so not totally sure ?

Yeah I wish there was more options in Charlotte. Also I wish Novant let you choose more than two routes to apply for. I hope y’all hear back soon!

I interviewed on 02/01 and yesterday my status was changed to "not selected" for Novant Charlotte market :(  I also applied for Winston, Rowan & Wilmington markets and those apps still say "Hiring Manager considering interview" since my interview. Specialty was Womens and NICU. 

Since I wasnt selected for Charlotte could another market still select me??

I definitely believe so!! I’m sorry it changed to that, mine did too, but I only put Charlotte market. So if the other markets didn’t change, they are probably still considering you!! I wanted womens or critical care.

I had my interview on 1/26 for novant in Winston salem. Hoping to get NICU or ER services. Currently anxious waiting for a call my application says “under consideration” hopefully to find out within the next day or 2. Fingers crossed. Also im coming out of state from FL!
