NNAS experience?

Does anybody have any experience with NNAS? So far, I've read the site but it would be great to hear from people who have gone through the process :)

Hi I'm also a USRN and did the NNAS processing. I was disappointed too when I got the 'not comparable' report I just received last saturday from NNAS. Now they want me to apply to the board where i wanted to practice. I am just concerned and worried about how this report affect my application to the board. Will this mean i have to take 2 long years of schooling? And I am really don't know yet where to transfer since i'm in love with Montreal yet career wise is so stagnant and unfavorable for non bilinguals. Please can you advice which province has the shortest processing time to become a nurse and is open for sponsoring siblings. Thanks!

Canadian immigration determines immigration and sponsorship standards not provinces. Do you have a BSN? That is the minimum entry to practice as an RN in Canada. If NNAS determined your education is not equivalent to the Canadian BScN I cannot fathom a provincial college of nurses making an exception. Quebec mandates fluency in French as a condition of licensure as French is the official language of Quebec whereas for example in Ontario its French or English

Yes I'm a Registered Burse from the Philippines. I agree with that but there are different laws or programs per state right? Like in Manitoba i do believe they have a program wherein you could get your siblings, unlike here in QC we could just let our siblings apply for the caregiver program and not as immigrants like me. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks for your reply...

Sorry for the innacurate reply. There is a form you need to fill up for licensure verification. You can print it from the website, fill it up and then send it with the cheque or money order. You can also call them, they are very helpful

Hey guys.. I am just wandering what happens next if you received non comparable result from NNAS? Do I have to go schooling again.. and how many months? Thank you.

I just received a not comparable advisory result too,so how is your registration?I feel bad because of this result,does it mean that I cannot register anymore?

Anyone here with advisory from the regulatory body be it PN or RN.. What's the recommendation? Which province? Aside from NS, which province is lenient?

Hi, I applied 15months ago and it has just been a struggle. I have passed the IELTS test and submitted all the paper work but things have been so delayed on their end that I am still waiting on my advisory report. It has been so frustrating. I am a german RN and practised for over 5 years in Germany. I moved with my husband to BC and the whole process with NNAS has been more than expensive and frustrating. Oh and one question to the course syllabus- is there anyone who also had to get 80-90 pages translated form another language? My application expired in September and I got an email 4 weeks before that stating that they want a longer course syllabus. So now I am left with nothing and either I pay a lot more or I will have to go to school again.
