License Verification Waiver - CGFNS - CES

Im applying for Nevada RN license, and one of the requirement is to be licensed RN in the country where you finish your Nursing degree. Mine is expired already and in order to renew it, i need to apply for dual cit. then apply for the renewal, then they will fill up the license verification form.

Any input on how to waived this part, license verificaion form?

RN in Phillipines - expired license. Cant renew because US cit. already. Any info or additional docs about getting it waived on CES report Application.

Called PRC to Renew but needs to be Dual citizen, and it would take a lot of time and money to go on that route.

Thanks for the idea of calling the NV BON.

for PH RN, trying to apply for Nevada, at this time, they're not requiring an active local license, based on what they told me.

but then again, its on the list of requirements for CGFNS , the License verification. I talked to CGFNS, and told them what the the NV BON told me. But they wont accept verbal claims, so it must be written, like an email from NV BON stating its not a requirement in order for them to waive the license verification. I Asked NV BON to send me an email stating its not a requirement, and they're very kind to send me one. I need to print it and fax that email to CGFNS to possibly waive the license verification part.

According to NV BON, it's not the first time they encounter it and lots of applicant asking for the same thing. It's an issue between the NV BON and the CGFNS requirements, and they say they gonna update it.

long story short, my suggestion is, if you have the same issue as mine, follow this steps, and provide additional explanation why you're not renewing your license.For your application for the NV BON, also provide a copy of expired license, just incase they need it.

Hello kabayan! ************* application mo? I also have concern about verification of license **********Las Vegas **at maraming requirements ******************* And not only that I worked in middle east too and they ask for my licencse verification also in Oman. This is terrible and I'm glad I have seen your post. I will try to contact the BON Nevada to tell my concern since they can just give waivers. Hopefully they will give one for me too....

Hi SheenaD, I also have the same problem with CGFNS. They are asking for my license verification from Oman. I didnt include it when I place an order for CES report. To my surprise, they themselves added license verification in Oman. I think they saw the documents i sent to Board of vocational nursing. I sent a copy of my experience certificate hoping they would grant my application because of my nursing background experience. Little did i know it will cause more delay in my application for LVN. Im trying to request for a waiver from cgfns since I do not hold a license bec I never applied when I worked there.

Hi Xielle! Did Nevada BON accept your request for waiver? Are you also licensed in Oman? I have the same dilemma. I am registered in the Philippines and New Zealand . I have added my registration info to my application and to my dismay, they also added a license verification in NZ.

I'm just new in US and been working on these license requirements for several months now. I'm in such a limbo. Ministry of health in Oman has no idea how to complete the license verification form and I couldn't contact CGFNS too. Any tips, suggestions or advises will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi, did u apply for LVN. If yes, email CGFNS to request a waiver for license verification from Oman. give them a valid reason. they waived mine coz i told them i never had a license bcoz i didnt apply for it. i have my PH license verified already so they accepted my request for waiver for my oman license. tell them that you are just applying for lvn. if u applied for RN, i think theyre a little bit strict.

Hi. I applied for RN. I just talked to an old colleague who used to work in Oman too. She advised me to talk to CGFNS and ask to waive my license validation for Oman and just send a proof that I worked there as a nurse. Hope this works for me too.

Hi, glad I have found this post as well. I'm currently working in Oman and with ongoing application for VisaScreen. I have the same dilemma on how to do the license verification here in Oman as they don't have any idea on what is CGFNS and how to proceed with the verification. How did you approach this? Where you able to ask CGFNS to waive the verification? Thanks!

Wow, I forgot that I asked info about this some 3 years ago. Well it turned out that MOH is validating our credentials for CGFNS. There is one specific person that process all this request at the Nursing Department in MOH headquarters in Al Khuwair.
