Hi nurses! Please help me. I just graduated and just passed the Nursing Board exam here in the Philippines. I do live in America but I just decided to finish nursing in the Philippines. I AM A GREENCARD HOLDER and I am planning to take the FLORIDA NCLEX. Can someone please help me? Is it better to process my papers here because my school is just near by. Or should I leave the country and stay in america? What are the steps for international students? HEEEEELP!

Steps are on the Florida BON website but you will need CES report or other acceptable agency as per their website and this must be done before you submit application to the BON

Thank you! Yes i will process the CES here in philippines. My next question is that when i finish the CES, can I take the exam in america ? Or do I have to still stay here in Philippines to take the exam?

You can sit the exam in the US

How do I do that?

You will be able to choose your testing center once you received your ATT.

Hi Therese, Did you start sending out your credentials to the US for CES? I will be taking nclex rn on APRIL here in Philippines. I sent my credential already for evaluation and the agency will send it directly to the BON in FLORIDA. I graduate last year march 2015 and took the nle last May 2015 and passed with 80% GA.

Now im preparing for my nclex exam. May I ask if you enroll to any review center for nclex? I am doing self study only. I dont know if I need to enroll to a review center for nclex. When are you planning to take the Nclex?

Hi Therese! I am a nsg student in philippines but had to stop bec we migrated(currently in Us)

I was wondering If you could help me decide or give some advice.

should I continue my bsn in ph or start over here in US?

My problem is that Im afraid I will be having a hard time taking nclex. What I mean is the requirements. Bec ive heard some states are beginning to be strict like California. Im just worried that I'll be needing to take addtnl subjects like medsurg,ob etc.

would being a green card holder helps?

I really want to finish my bsn in philippines.

Thanks!

Green card has no effect on whether your credentials are to the US educational standards.

If you plan to live and work in the US, then complete your nursing education in the US. If you plan on working as a nurse in the Philippines then return to the Philippines to complete your education.

Green Card/PR status should put you in the in state tuition rates presuming you meet the residency requirements. Tuition for international students is often 3-4x greater than resident students.

Hi im sorry i havent check my comments here. I just finished processing my papers and im just currently waiting for florida bon to send me an email that i am qualified. I plan to take it in a month or so after receiving my ATT. I will enroll review live classes after too.

congrats! aren't there any review centers left that help you process and pass the nclex? there were plenty back in 2010. have they all gone? grab your documents and do them in america. the transitions will be a lot faster. you will need CGFNS and all your PRC certificates
