I am wondering; are there any current practicing nurse practitioners who have completed a residency/fellowship who would be willing to share about their experience? Thanks in advance!

That would be a gross waste of a spot that could go to someone who actually benefits from that. I'd just focus on fnp based programs if that's the area your school is focused.

Not the one in my area. UPMC requires ACNP for their CCM and surgical residency positions.

In California, one program allows FNP's in their acute care-focused programs:

and another, within the same university system will exclusively admit AGACNP grads only:

The VA would be an awesome residency. I used to work at one. You'll have good access to resources and can do a fair amount clinically there.

Hi, Do you mind telling me which NP program you were in to get in Carolina Medical Center? TIA.
Not at all.:)
I did my BSN at Penn State over 15 years ago and then I did my MSN at Duke. It is partly on line and partly in person. You have to go to campus for certain things and check offs. I think the first semester was entirely online and then the second semester you have to come for like 3 separate weekends and then its about once a semester for 4-5 days each time.

Thanks! I think that's good advice. I'm in a PMHNP program, and unfortunately there are very few NP fellowship/residency programs even available for us. According to this, there are only so many:
