nurse organizer fanny pack

Published

suggestions to keep me organized? i lose my pens, tape & scissors all the time. And my pants keeps defying gravity with all the stuff i put in my scrub pockets.

i need a not ugly organizer pack to bring back my sanity..help!

I used a jacket. I'm almost always cold though. I kept my tape on my stethescope. My scissors and pens went in my pockets. I attached a small sharpie, a highlighter and a small penlight to my name badge, as well as my medication box key.

I don't know if this is what you're looking for but I use this one in Navy, not so much a fanny pack but a clip. Gets the job done and keeps pen stains off my scrubs!

Being seen wearing a fanny pack is too high a price to pay for organization.

I've seen a lot of great nurses wearing these. I feel that the older nurses find it less 'embarresing' or 'silly looking' than compared to us younger nurses.

Yeah Brandon, a fanny pack on a guy is no bueno!

these look pretty cool, lots of different sizes and options, too.

LOL I'm sure anything fanny pack related is ugly

How did you attach your penlight to your name badge? I have been looking for a retractable badge holder with a penlight on it and can't find one anywhere! I saw one once, but the nurse said it was given to her at a conference-so they must have them out there somewhere!

I stopped carrying so much crap in my pockets the first day after orientation. But, if you really need something to keep organized, I have seen a couple of nurses (old school and newbies alike) carrying what looks like a little waitress apron-thingy but without ties. Like this:

Our unit wears our own unit t-shirts to work. It works well cause I think scrub tops look horrible and I also hate stuff in my pockets. I rock a fanny pack proudly and look awesome double time.
