Nurse Corps Scholarship 2018-2019

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi Everyone, I'm planning to apply for the HRSA NurseCorp Scholarship this year. I figured I would go ahead and start the next thread for this award year. I'm currently finishing up some of my prereqs and will be starting my BSN program in June. I know the application date hasn't been released yet but from what I have seen on other threads, it should be opened sometime in March/April with a deadline in May. I've also read that the prompt questions have been the same from one award year to the next so I have begun working on them as well as trying to figure out who I would like to use as recommendations. I would love to hear from all who plan to apply this year.

Did you see the credit check on credit karma? My credit karma won't refresh until the 10th.

I checked my inquires on credit karma and annual credit report.com and haven't gotten any new inquires... gahhh

I used my annual credit report already so I have to wait on credit karma now.

Born and raised rural and understand underserved population needs. 8 years of public health nursing. RN at an FQHC for 4 years and want to stay there as NP. In second year of FNP program, especially interested in women's and children's services, but chose FNP to be able to serve the need of the area. That's the basics. Hope that helps.

Good luck with everything. I know the wait has been crazy

Did anyone apply for either NHSC or Nurse Corp with a dual specialty NP program? Now I'm freaking out that it might have disqualified me because of the rigid government rules etc. There wasn't a drop-down option for a dual specialty (I'm WH and AGPCNP) so I selected WH and wrote in AGPCNP in the details...

Sooo, their site is going to be down tonight for maintenance? Is that a sign for anything?
