Nurse Corps Scholarship 2018-2019

Hi Everyone, I'm planning to apply for the HRSA NurseCorp Scholarship this year. I figured I would go ahead and start the next thread for this award year. I'm currently finishing up some of my prereqs and will be starting my BSN program in June. I know the application date hasn't been released yet but from what I have seen on other threads, it should be opened sometime in March/April with a deadline in May. I've also read that the prompt questions have been the same from one award year to the next so I have begun working on them as well as trying to figure out who I would like to use as recommendations. I would love to hear from all who plan to apply this year.

That's the log in site. After you've logged in, under applicant there's a nurse scholarships link, click that and it'll take you to your page where it'll say under review.

The site has been down most the day since Friday. Rarely is it working. Seems busy.

Katy, you might want to make sure you are on the correct app. In the top right corner make sure you're on the nurse corp role. Maybe you started a different app and your role is still on that.

I saw the same one about reapplying!! Then I waited a bit and refreshed and it still says under review. Omg their website is seriously nuts right now....

I've been working as a CNA at local hospitals since October 2016. I'm at a local university currently in their nursing program (not accelerated), but I've been accepted in two accelerated programs. The only way I can afford to go to the accelerated program is if I get this scholarship... but I'm running out of time. I had really hoped that we'd be notified by now so that I could figure things out whichever way, especially because the accelerated program is out of state. I would hate to find out in September after I've withdrawn from the accelerated program that I've gotten the award. I've been dealing with a ridiculous amount of stress, not to mention rushing to finish all the health and castlebranch requirements that may all be for nothing!

just waiting patiently. currently using student loans and out of pocket because I used all my free money on my first degree. :(
