Hi everyone,
I am interested in applying to the nurse corps scholarship 2017 2018 in order to pay for my accelerated program of sixteen months. I have a bachelors in sociology. I have done quiet a few researches. The application cycle will be open this month but I don't know which exact date. I have read discussion threads of previous years and have found really helpful information. I want to create a platform where interested applicants can ask questions, share information, discuss and help each other.
Thanks
Goodness - I merely suggested that most questions could already be answered most efficiently with a little bit of digging - this way folks can get answers quicker and perhaps we'll have fewer posts asking when x and y happened for the eighth time. I didn't realize that "maybe try a little research" would be such an unpopular opinion. Remember, we're nurses - we should like research.
I'm also confused as to why my suggestion to "try your best to find the answer in all the great information here" has been construed as "all these idiots shouldn't be allowed to speak and I am trying to dictate what questions are asked." Clearly that's absurd and no one has any power to do such a thing, and again, my suggestion was polite and friendly.
Anyway, carry on. Simply my two cents. Hopefully Emily doesn't get tired of answering the same questions over and over. :')
Please keep this thought to your self people have a right to ask questions and you have the right to keep it moving w/o answering as well. Some people are in accelerated program and they don't have a lot of time to be going through all those previous posts abs whatever their reason is they should be able to ask a question regardless!
They certainly are. Apologies that my viewpoint offended you so much, although I am just as free to express my perfectly valid idea as much as you are. Hopefully others will understand that my suggestion was just that, and that they are free to do as they please - and perhaps someone will find the answers they're looking for in this thread.

I don't think that was what she was saying. There is no need for anyone to get upset. Looking through the threads is a good way to gather information. This scholarship requires a lot of research, and it causes a lot of stress. I don't think anyone is meaning to be rude, I know people have a lot riding on this. I'm in an accelerated program and I've taken the time to help out, because I understand the tension level you guys have.
I recommend for those who have gotten finalist emails to join the Facebook group, the link is in recent previous threads. Its a little easier to back track previously answered questions there. Don't get upset with each other, we all have the same goal of being healers. Nothing about becoming a nurse is easy!!!
