I am interested in applying to the nurse corps scholarship 2017 2018 in order to pay for my accelerated program of sixteen months. I have a bachelors in sociology. I have done quiet a few researches. The application cycle will be open this month but I don't know which exact date. I have read discussion threads of previous years and have found really helpful information. I want to create a platform where interested applicants can ask questions, share information, discuss and help each other.
Also did you status change from under review to in review before your CK showed a credit check? Like yesterday or the day before? I checked the portal and the status has not changed.

2nd screen you will get the chance to pick which branch you want to request if you haven't done all 3 branches you can do that even now for the one that you haven't requested from before.
There has been past recipients of the scholarship that did not receive a credit check?
There have been reports in the past from some people but it's more likely that these individuals overlooked the hard inquiry on the credit report versus not receiving one. For example, if they didn't check Equifax they probably didn't see the credit check as it wasn't reported to TransUnion or Experian, etc.
Yes. It is part off the requirement for the program finalists. I am not sure for those that applied to both if the credit check was to be done once or twice. Also, no one received any notifications today on the other site.
Are any of you currently in school for a summer session? I am in a direct entry program and we are currently required to attend summer classes ending on 8/11/17. I am reading and re-reading the program guidance and tuition for summer classes may be covered if you receive the scholarship. This is something new that I noticed and I thought I would share. This would be great! Let me know if I read this the wrong way!
Once a participant is selected to receive a NURSE Corps Scholarship, will the programcover tuition and fees if his/her program started prior to July 1, 2017? Yes, the NURSE Corps Scholarship Program will pay tuition and required fees for summersessions when (1) summer school is an academic term normally required by the school forall students in the same program and (2) the summer session is in progress during theparticipant's contract period (i.e., through July 1, 2017).

I hope this is right!! I'm in an ABSN program that started in May. To me, the guidance is pretty clear that they will cover this summer semester, but when I called to ask about it, the CSR indicated they wouldn't pay for any fees incurred prior to July 1st. At this point, I think this is a question to ask only when you receive an award. It sounds like the CSRs are notoriously misinformed. :')
