Hi everyone,
I am interested in applying to the nurse corps scholarship 2017 2018 in order to pay for my accelerated program of sixteen months. I have a bachelors in sociology. I have done quiet a few researches. The application cycle will be open this month but I don't know which exact date. I have read discussion threads of previous years and have found really helpful information. I want to create a platform where interested applicants can ask questions, share information, discuss and help each other.
Thanks
Are you in a MSN FNP program or DNP FNP program? I am not sure you can get funding just for the MSN portion if you are in a BSN to DNP program because once you complete the program you were accepted/funded for you are required to begin your service commitment which is why they distinguish the difference between MSN FNP and DNP FNP.
It has to be an MSN-NP, DNP is second tier, it explains that clearly in the pdg. It's because mid levels have access to the other scholarship program as well.
I was accepted to a program where you can get a DNP in three years or you can stop after two years with a Master's if you want to (or need to because you have a service obligation to honor)
Did you list it as a DNP program? How did your school write it on the your program verification form? If they put DNP you are second tier.

You could still be in the running, not everyone gets a credit check. I know essays play a bigger portion points wise over gpa and stuff. It's not over yet. Don't get discouraged.
