Greetings!
After binge reading the thread for 2015-2016, I decided it's time to start one for this year. I am a single mother opting to pursue a BSN after a post-quarter life crisis. Because I have multiple degrees, I have just about exhausted all of my financial aid options. I would like to hear from anyone applying for the scholarship. What's your story? What are your stats? Previous applicants and recipients I would like to hear your story too!
Starting at a private nursing school in May (with what little fin. aid I have left)
1 year AmeriCorps
1 year internship at group home for at-risk adolescents
5 years working with Dept. of Corrections (2.5 of which were counseling offenders)
EFC: 544
GPA: 3.9
Community service hours: 45
Location: GA
I'm sorry for some reason, since my application is already submitted it won't let me go back to the list to download the form again. I would have to edit and resume MIT to do it and I submitted mine on April 4th I want to keep it as submitted early.. I'm sorry I thought I would be able to help
No problem, thank you though!
Hey everyone! I applied this cycle too and wanted to ask how you guys formatted your resumes. Did you have a few bullet points for each experience or did you write a short paragraph? Also, how many pages was your entire resume document? I have always been advised to keep my resume to 1 page, but now I'm wondering if I formatted it incorrectly for this application. Thanks!

I did bullets for my experiences and used my objective portion of the application to write a short paragraph. Mine is 1 page as well.
Did either of you post references to your definition of 'underserved community'? I'm not sure if they want a works cited to go along with that, I don't want to be disqualified for not including a reference lmao.
If you're citing anything you should always have a reference page. I did have a reference page. You'll be ok for citing & including a reference page :-)
