I am currently working on the application for the nurse corps repayment program 2015 and I need some help from someone who has also done this process before.
My question is in regards to the documents you have to upload:
1# Authorization to Release Information, Authorization to Release Employment Information- Do you print these off, sign, scan, and then upload to the site?
2# Curriculum Vitae/Resume- is this just a basic resume stating your current position you hold, and do you address it to the Nurse Corps??
3# Finally, proof of citizenship can I just scan my drivers license and then upload it to the application???
I would appreciate all insight please, I want to make sure I get this right the first time. Thanks ahead of time for looking I really do appreciate it.
Couple of my friends working as NP in Los Angeles County has received an email that they will not be chosen for the program. Apparently their site has the score of 16. They said on the program portal their awards are still marked "Under Review". I still have not received any email yet myself but since my site has the score of 12, my hope plummeted!!!
Looks like they have started to send out responses!!!!
My facility score is 19 and my debt-to-income ratio is 177%
I received an email this afternoon ( 7/22/15) with the following message: "You have an application update that requires your response and is time sensitive. Please log into your 2015 NURSE Corps Loan Repayment Program application. You have until 07/26/2015 to respond to this request. If you do not respond by 07/26/2015, your application will no longer be considered for an award."
When I logged in, it said I was a Finalist but the award is not guaranteed and depends on available funds. They had me confirm that I was still working full time and state if I was willing to accept the award pending final signature. They also had me enter my bank info for direct deposit. Now my application reads as follows:
Your overall application status is: Accepted Award - Under Final Review"
I wonder how long it takes for final review/ signature. I'm pretty sure this is good news! Has anybody made it this far and NOT receive funds???

Hi guys! i'm so glad that I found a thread that is talking about this. My nerves are so bad. I haven't heard anything as of yet. My facility is a 20 and my ratio is about 95%. I browsed through the previous threads and it looks like a lot of NPs were picked... I have my MSN but in informatics. My app still says under review. I'm also freaking out BC im going to Jamaica from Aug 1 to 11 and may not have internet access!! Best of luck to everyone! Keep us posted !
I am a mental health RN with the VA in AZ. I only have a BSN. My facility rates 18. I was hopeful because Arizona has a lack of mental health services but now I am losing hope. It seems only graduate degree nurses are being awarded.
I keep applying and applying! My facility score is 19. my debt/income ratio is 95%. None of the RN's at my facility that have applied have ever gotten the loan repayment. I wish they would gather more comprehensive information regarding dependents, other debts, etc.. while I pay my loans every single month, I seriously struggle to keep my head above water. I never thought that becoming an RN would be so detrimental to my financial situation I love, love, LOVE my job working with adults experiencing homelessness, I just wish that being an RN, BSN, PHN was enough for this program!!!!
