2019 Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program

Hi Everyone,

I didn't see a thread created for the 2019 Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program yet. This will be my 3rd year applying. I'm applying as a staff RN with a HPSA score of 17. Hopefully, they open the application cycle soon.

I’m still waiting to hear. There is a system update this weekend so maybe that will fix it.

Does anyone have to submit the aid summery report for federal loans? There is only a section to upload documents under the private loans I have and not the federal.

Does anyone know if the new bill that makes federal loan pardoning tax-exempt will impact the nurse corp loan repayment program?  Does anyone who has qualified in the past have any tips for filing taxes so that its clear that it isn't technically income?

I was able to pull my loans automatically from NSLDS on chrome. Working on getting statements from FedLoan servicing.

I hope the bill goes through, I had to pay taxes on this this year!! I spoke with a lawyer and accountant,  we had to file it as income.

When is the deadline,  I thought it was March 18th?

It's April 8 for the 3rd  year.

Does anyone know when we would get notified if we are awarded the continuation?

Did you have to save it and upload it on the application?

I looked back at the 2018 thread and it looks like people commented in July.

Hi! I’m trying to submit my continuation application and really  struggling with the support documentation they need. I have all Nelnet loans that automatically pulled in to the application, but it looks like I still need to submit supporting documentation (dispersement report, statements, and payment history). Has anyone done this and are willing to walk me through how to obtain these documents? Thank you!

I had to call my loan company.  The forms they sent me are standardized and I’m hoping HRSA will accept them.

Just saw a credit check for the third year continuation! Seems to be moving way faster than the initial award.
