Hi Everyone,
I didn't see a thread created for the 2019 Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program yet. This will be my 3rd year applying. I'm applying as a staff RN with a HPSA score of 17. Hopefully, they open the application cycle soon.

From what I can tell you typically get a payment tab on your program portal mid month the month AFTeR you got your award letter, showing the first payment as processing. Then that payment typically clears your bank a few days later, around the 15-17th each month. This is just what I gather from on here and people I know who have gotten it. And no, I believe the October payment will just be for October.
Anyone know the deal with breaching your contract? I know you have to repay the money given plus some crazy interest rate, but the contract is pretty vague about it. I should get the funds deposited soon...
Here's the deal- 1 week after being awarded NCLRP, the FQHC I work for changed my role (women's health to all primary care) and then told me I'd be traveling between 3 clinics, 1 of them is an hour away!
I'm seriously considering finding another job. The pay at this job is really low, so the loan repayment was necessary, but not so necessary if I find a higher paying job. Market is tight here, but have seen some urgent care and retail health openings.
Any insight? Opinions please!

Call NCLRP ASAP and explain your situation! I think you have 30 days from countersignature to pull out of the contract but you absolutely want to make sure this is the case with them. If you breach your contract, you will be ineligible for all types of loan repayment programs at the federal level and potentially state level (if your state offers anything like it). I believe it's any of the payments received plus whatever they think is an appropriate interest rate (the guidance says the "maximum legal prevailing rate"). There are waivers but that would definitely require you get HRSA's sympathy so contacting them as soon as possible is key! Good luck!
Thanks for that info- I didn’t realize the 30 day thing, that is helpful! Plus, I haven’t received any funds yet so nothing to pay back yet...
i just don’t want to breach and then not find another job. The most rational thing I can think of is to wait until I find something else in case I do just bite the bulletin and stay in this position for 2 years. I’ve been with this company for almost 5 years, so this situation is super *** but Unfortunately very characteristic for them.
Crappy* I guess the platform didn’t like the word I used

Yeah same here! does any one know when they typically come? We get one for September and October correct?
