Hi Everyone,
I didn't see a thread created for the 2019 Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program yet. This will be my 3rd year applying. I'm applying as a staff RN with a HPSA score of 17. Hopefully, they open the application cycle soon.

I am a participant in NCLRP and received the 3rd year extension this year. The 'welcome email' if not received does not contain any additional information other that what is posted in your nurse corps account under 'My Service Information' and then 'View My Service Information and Documents' link. Within that link it will have the documents in the 'Welcome Kit'.
I can only speak about the NCLRP program. Under the financial history tab, you'll see your processed and scheduled payments. This tab is on the right side of your screen once you log in. My experience is that the payment switches to processed mid month and then is deposited in the bank account of your choosing within a day or two.
The BHW will not be able to provide you with any tax information other than that they withhold federal taxes and you are responsible for state if required by your state.
I did consolidate my approved loans (and only the approved loans) once accepted into the program. I kept diligent documentation to show which loans were transferred/consolidated so that there was no question my consolidated loans contained only those approved by NCLRP.
I don’t have a my financial history tab. I only have a bank information tab that only shows the bank account information. Anyone else?
Angela, with NCLRP the first contract is for 2 years, you reapply for a 3rd year around the 18-20 month mark. They list out the documentation that they are looking for (lender, account number, your name, balances etc). You are required to submit a report from your lender showing every nurse corps payment that you made on the qualifying loans. The total payments should equal the after federal tax money NCLRP awarded you.
Regarding the consolidation, I showed a statement from my original loans (total paid off and 0 balance)and a current statement with the consolidated loan that captures initial loan balance and the subsequent payments I made on that loan.
I probably sent in too much information, but I did not want any reason for my application to be rejected.

Thanks for the info! Have you heard of anyone not receiving the 3rd year contract when they reapplied for it? HRSA phrases it as you having the power to decide if you'd like to continue, but it's hard to believe that people decide not to complete the 3rd year since 25% is significant as well. I am just curious what your process was like. Thanks!

I am not sure of the statistics on how the 3rd year contract is granted. The BHW did share that it was from a separate pool of funding. I don't think anything with HRSA is guaranteed but would think those that did not fulfill the requirements of the initial contract are the ones that did not have a 3rd year extended.
My process of waiting for the 3rd year was just as anxiety provoking as the initial application.
