2019 Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program

Hi Everyone,

I didn't see a thread created for the 2019 Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program yet. This will be my 3rd year applying. I'm applying as a staff RN with a HPSA score of 17. Hopefully, they open the application cycle soon.

I am in the same boat, still waiting! I am so anxious. Do you know how many people get the COI but don’t get a co-sign? I’m so scared for that ?

For all of us still waiting with our hopes dwindling and dying a slow death by the day, just wanted to report another site maintenance announcement on the portal, this time for Saturday. Maybe more awards will go out?

I have a co worker that got awarded 2 days ago. So there is still a sliver of hope!

Was your coworker a primary care FNP or psych? is it NHSC or NCLRP?

nope, she is a counselor and it was for the rural community lrp. I am the FNP that told her about the program and I am still under review! Joking- she deserves it too, but it is a reminder that there are also other disciplines that may be eligible for some of this funding too. So who knows, I don't thinks there is any way to predict their patterns of distributing awards at this point..... but they are still making offers.

I hope so. My friend got awarded last year at the very end of August and didn’t get co sign until the very end of September.

No co-signature here either. I was reading previous years and it took up to 6 weeks to get one ?

Got my email from RCLRP two weeks ago, they rescinded it (had to fix my site listing, which I did), received new COI last week, and it's just been sitting in 'Accepted award - Under FInal Review' since then. Phone calls to HRSA during the 'fixing' phase assured me I would get an award (which, having followed this blog closely for years, i know that's not always the case). Would really like to hear something soon....if I need to get a 2nd job to make the payments would rather know now ? Love, luck, and light to everyone waiting.

I'm an FNP, doing primary care/some OUD treatment; work for IHS, HPSA 19 DTI >250%.
