2019 Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program

Published

Hi Everyone,

I didn't see a thread created for the 2019 Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program yet. This will be my 3rd year applying. I'm applying as a staff RN with a HPSA score of 17. Hopefully, they open the application cycle soon.

Hi everyone. Congrats on your co signatures everyone!

i am DTI>125% NCLRP RN and received my co signature today as well

i wanted to ask if anyone knew of the next steps/what our supervisors need to do next as well. My supervisor is difficult to pin down so I want to get her to login to her portal ASAP if she needs to do anything

Same!!! So grateful!!!

Hi everyone! Sorry for the questions again. I spoke with someone on the phone who advised me that we get 2 lump sums (the total amount we are awarded divided by two so one per year) and I didn’t understand it this way. I thought we got monthly payments. Would someone please clarify this for me? Thank you

Hello everyone! Congrats on everyone's co-signatures. I've been following this forum and was wondering if anyone who has received or is going to be receiving this reward have loans that are consolidated? I know that there was talk before of the consolidated loans not being considered. Most of my loans are private and were consolidated. Becoming more and more hopeless...

Not consolidated; all federal

All of my undergrad were consolidated. My graduate have not been. I am for nurse corp loan repayment. Site score 21. Debt to income greater than 100%.

I’m wondering the same. This is my second year. I obviously didn’t get an award. Mine are consolidated but they are federal. Seems like it is my downfall.

Okay. So I just logged into the portal. Normal screen that says 'Accepted award - pending final review' is gone; there's a site maintenance message banner at the top, and underneath that is another banner that says: "Congratulations on being awarded, you have been redirected to your participant profile." !!!!!!! But then nothing else on the page.

Rec'd original COI email about 3 weeks ago; had to fix something on my employment site in the app, went back into 'In Progress' status for another week, got another COI email about 2 weeks ago, co-signature from a HRSA rep yesterday, and this finding this morning.

Also, I have some loans that were consolidated from many years ago, but they were federal.

This is for RC LRP, I'm and FNP doing primary care and some SUD treatment at an IHS site, HPSA 19, DTI >250%.

So I have private, federal, and federal consolidated loans. I only submitted my Nonconsolidated loans for fear that I would not be selected. I didn't want to take the chance. I was just nervous about it, maybe that's why I got it though. Maybe next year you can try leaving the consolidated ones out and see what happens.
