Hi Everyone,

I didn't see a thread created for the 2019 Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program yet. This will be my 3rd year applying. I'm applying as a staff RN with a HPSA score of 17. Hopefully, they open the application cycle soon.

"Last year had a credit check in May, heard I was a finalist in late July, got a counter signature in mid to late August, and first deposit in September. Good luck everyone!" -- this was from the 2018 allnurses board ... so possibly June will be a long month lol and people might begin hearing the news in July?

I think I posted that last year. It’s too early. Nurse Corp typically does not move as fast as the others. I would suspect the earliest to be early July. It was not a fast process until after the counter signature.

I just received a second check from Credco. I did apply for both NHSC and Nurse Corps so not sure if it was the NHSC this time or Nurse Corps again but I’m taking it as Hope!

I got a second check also- only applied for Nurse Corps.

I wonder if anyone got it with one check- that kinda sucks taking two hits on the credit report. I also applied for both. Shoot now I am super nervous. Maybe I just didn’t make the cut

Now that I slept on it, I’m kind of worried the other way, do people that normally get it only get one check? Maybe there was something wrong on my application and they are just verifying it? I really don’t understand why they would do two checks for the same application as they do them to verify your loans and a second one wouldn’t really tell them anything different...
