Hello All,
I am applying for the nurse corps loan repayment program 2016 cycle, I just spoke to a representative who told me the application cycle opens up tomorrow. For those of you who have applied any tips advice etc.? I am very excited about this opportunity because I have an outrageous amount of loans.
So you were able to get the repayment for NP and then you were accepted just for doctorate loans. I was wondering if only doctorate loans would qualify and they call center rep said no those loans don't qualify. I asked because I wanted to go back for doctorate but was second trying to look at financial possibilities
Sent you a PM. I had researched that extensively before returning for mine:)
Went to the portal still says under review, however, if you pull the actual document up that shows your electronic signature, a reviewer signed mine yesterday, not sure what the next step is but there is progress. This is going to be such a blessing for me. I accepted my award on August 10 if that helps any one still sitting in limbo.
9/1 Hi everyone, I just got approved today, just few minutes ago and signed my agreement for the NLRP. This is my 4th year applying. I have a site score of 17 and DTI ratio of 156%. Thank GOD. I am an RN, not a NP, not faculty. I have never posted here before but scanned this site religiously every year during this time. Come here occasionally to read other things. I am so grateful to have gotten this award. I am 59 years old, went back to school in my late 40's to become a RN. I was single and used up a lot of loans just to survive while going to school and working full time as a secretary in the hospital. I pray and hope for all of you that you are able to receive this, my loan repayments are over 600 a month. I know the heartbreak of not getting the loan. I knew this was about my last year of hope, because my salary goes up and my DTI goes down as I repay. Good Luck All....don't give up hope till its all over Sept 30.
That is encouraging news, heartandhere. I applied for NELRP with DTI 151% and site score 17, so I'm still hoping to hear soon. Someone in this thread though said that they were informed that awards were only made until 9/1, and then people who did not receive it would hear by 9/30. Can anybody verify or disprove this?
Heartandhere, when you say you "got approved," does you mean you were countersigned, or does that mean you were made aware that you are a finalist and you signed the contract and filled out your bank info etc? I'm just curious. I'm an RN, facility score 14 and DtI 200%. I received my finalist email 8/5 but am still awaiting the counter sign...
wow omg !! congrats so happy for you really your deserve it!!
Did you see your email first or did you check your portal first?
