Nurse Corps Loan Repayment 2016 Cycle

Published

Hello All,

I am applying for the nurse corps loan repayment program 2016 cycle, I just spoke to a representative who told me the application cycle opens up tomorrow. For those of you who have applied any tips advice etc.? I am very excited about this opportunity because I have an outrageous amount of loans.

I don't know my Tier and I am not sure how the DTI ratio is calculated? Do I include just my student loans or ALL consumer debt?? My site score was 17.

Salary devided by student loan debt

Oh... So you are talking about the NHSC LRP program and not the Nurse Corps LRP?

my d/i was 186% hpsa of 16

Specializes in Transplant, Hepatobiliary, SICU.

Just wondering how many NPs have been notified for the Nurse Corps loan repayment. It seems like this forum is starting to become a little mixed with NHSC program. My profile still says under review, but congrats to all the recipients so far this year!

Another day of "under review".....

Tier 1 NP, HPSA 17, DTI 150%. Still "under review" :(

Welp, this is my second year applying, RN, tier 1, 170%. Still under review, I was hanging in with my job for two years with this reward in mind, but now I've got a better opportunity at another Hospital. So I'll be waiting out till the end of the month, but as the days go on my hopes diminish...:sorry: Congratulations to everyone who are being awarded!!

Same for me. I took this job so I could apply to this program. Second year as well. Not sure if I'll try a 3rd time since my debt to I come ratio will be lower next year. Tier 1 148% score of 17 CRNA :(

Well I accepted the NRP which takes me out of the running for nurse corps. Hopefully this will free up some money for someone!

Any countersigns yet?
