Nurse Corps Loan Repayment 2016 Cycle
I dont recall if anyone has received notice for solely BSN work?? Nurse Corps?

Nurse Corps Loan Repayment 2016 Cycle
to be honest, i didnt look to see if i had a credit check.. I am 'under review' and i submitted everything because each school i went to had something that applied at some point to my nursing degree, whether it be psychology, algebra, english, electives. I think it seems you are supposed to upload and they will pick what they will pay for... which may be why mine is still under review. I wonder if I am denied if it will say something else. Or, if under review means theres still a chance???

Nurse Corps Loan Repayment 2016 Cycle
I am an RN, BSN.. but in school for NP. I applied for Nurse Corps only, of course. My app says "under review" still. I haven't given up. I wonder if they have decided to deny altogether if Under Review will change to a hell no, or anything else? :) I hope they do consider interest. Also, my earlier course work was not toward a nursing degree, though I used some of it for that. I don't know if they pick through it or just process an award for total loan value for undergraduate.

For Fun--Kudos 2 Me...The "toot your own horn" thread
How'd the interview go? Good luck....after the fact !

Alternate job experience
I think how you perform in any setting is helpful. It seems so many are jumping fields to be in healthcare. Getting the interview may be one thing, but personality and demonstrating your ability to be professional and hard working during the interview will compensate for lack of medical experience. Retail? If you've been in retail sales you have experience with aligning with the needs of a customer. You know how to find out what they really need when they don't understand. (especially in areas of technology) so, many skillsets that we form in other positions would be a dotted line to nursing skills. As the school aide...I would think for sure.

New at Pima CC
Thanks so much for all the info you provided. Great insight in the pm also. I can't yet do pm. I may take accelerated a/p classes in the fall and be on the wait list that much sooner. Gotta find out today if I can register for those prior to completing 156 /130. I wish I didn't need the scheduling convenience of online right now. I'm new to Tucson and doing the job hunt thing. I didn't want to have to address working around a school schedule right up front! I hope for anything in hospital setting. Besides experience, it seems they would be more open to school scheduling . Please feel free to pm any thoughts on that subject! Thanks again.

Thanks for the reply! Due to courses I transferred in from previous college work, I only need chm, bio, A/P 1 &2. The only support courses I need that can be taken before nursing program entrance are: microbiology, nutrition, dev.psy. I plan to have them all out of the way by next July 2012. Just by chance if there is not a waiting period (i know - wishful thinking!). I am trying to decide now if I can take Chm 130 and Bio 156 both this summer online. Do you think it is possible? I am best in science/math courses. This way I could take a/p starting in the fall and spring. I am registering now if anyone is reading and can let me know if i can take these 2 together...and have a chance of making good grades. I don't have kids or any distractions at home if that helps. :)

New at Pima CC
I am new at Pima (and to Tucson) as a future nursing student. I just wonder if anyone has any tips, advice, etc. Share all info please. I will apply to the program July 2012. I understand the wait list. I am taking chm 130 online. Suggestions?? Is there anywhere at Pima to meet other future Nursing Students? Or perhaps I will in my class.... just excited to get started! Also, any advice on a job to get experience during school? Or anywhere that is flexible with school schedule? Thanks for any/all info!

does a school with no wait list exist in AZ?
I am in Tucson, just starting at Pima. I have some previous college credits and need 4 classes (chm, bio, both a/p) before applying for the program. I figure there are other classes to take while I wait, like Spanish. I'm counting on a lot of people losing patience with the wait. Time goes by fast. :)
