I've been watching this japanese drama for sometime now, and it's pretty interesting so i just wanted to share..it's in japanese but it has subtitles..
"..Aoi Misora is a third-year nurse at a prestigious hospital. After she is involved in trouble at the Emergency Center, she is transferred to a medical ward of an affiliated hospital. Unlike her previous workplace, the medical ward is a crucial place where patients who survived the emergency room must be looked after with extreme care. But it's also a place for dishonest and unskilled doctors. Moreover, it is also a place for cozy ties between politicians and doctors, where the priority is not patient care but profit..."

I just watched the first episode and enjoyed it. With all the chat about Hopkins and how they don't acknowledge nurses it is interesting to see a show that has a nurse as the heroine, grappling with nursing issues. Although it would probably be similar to watching Greys Anatomy to understand American healthcare and culture, I still enjoyed the geographic and cultural differences.
There is a BBC TV show "No Angels" or something like that that really shows nurses in a bad light. Other than that I can't think of any other TV show about nurses.
Anyway, thanks for letting us in on this.

BBC TV's 'Casualty' has a fair bit of nursing input as does the spin-off, 'Holby City'.
I just checked and we don't get either show here (across the pond in the US) on BBC America, but I'll keep my eyes and ears open for them as they are always adding new stuff.
thanks
