Hi Amy,
I had to come over here to find you. Where are all your classmates in 3425? Would be nice to have someone with whom you could commiserate. I'm sending you a PM re: Texas Politics.
Stay well
ps. did you see the e:mail that we are all moving over to Blackboard? wonder why. Sure didn't give us much notice.
ScarletFire, Got your pm. Thanks for the info & will pass on. I do not know why they changed to Blackboard. I just got used to Epic, but really don't have a preference. Good luck with part B Prof Nursing (it is breezy). This class will be time consuming & I am glad to be taking it alone this time (will pm you after the first week). Glad we might be in a class together next time. Later..
I agree. Doesn't really matter to me how we log on, but I wonder if the format of those teensy folders opening up to reveal the categories will go away, or if things will be organized differently. Guess we'll find out.
When I realized I would be able to finish Texas early, I considered taking N3335 along with Part B of N3645, but didn't make it to register in time. Just would be nice to move on as fast as possible.
Glad you received my pm. Hope it helps.
Stay well.

I finished 3425 a while ago...it's one of the classes that I'd recommend taking alone if you can, or at least not with another nursing class. It's pretty work-intensive, especially all of the weekly physical assessments. I took that along with 3335 (Health Promotion) and it was the craziest 5 weeks of my life. I also recommend that you use someone for your assessments that you have frequent and easy access to (e.g., child, spouse) because the assessments are not quick--they're rather detailed.
Now 3335 alone isn't too bad--it could easily go with 3645B/most of the other 3 credit nursing classes or a non-nursing class.

I'm in there with you Amy, taking it along with NURS 4455, Nursing Leadership and Management. The Health Assessment class does appear to be pretty time consuming, I'm about to get started on the week 1 assignments in a couple hours.
Commonsense,
It does seem rather time consuming and I am tired of having to cite references with discussions. Just did 2 nursing courses last time and wanted to concentrate on one. How is N4455 looking, I will start the upper level courses in Spring after Stats. BTW, the 1st test was easy, I guess that is something to be thankful for!

Hi. I'm presently taking 3425 as well. The 1st 2 assignments seems like a lot of work. Plus, I haven't even done the quiz yet. I'm about to tackle assignment 1 now till I fall asleep.

It's nice to hear about the first test, I'll be taking it in the next couple of days. N4455 is looking alright so far. There will probably be a decent amount of work, but it doesn't look like it will compare with the Health Assessment course.
Hi jadiva. Glad to have someone else in the same boat. Finished one assignment and working on second. Examples they give seem to be OK, but I can't imagine having a COLDSPA on every assignment every week. Guess we will find out the grading after this week.
Hi amy. I don't know where the examples are in the book. i'm just following the lab manual and hope I doing it right.
Yes, you have to produce at least one COLDSPA every week, unless things have changed since I took it (which was in April or so).
