Published

Hey I was wondering who has applied to the Nursing Program @ Nova starting fall 2010?

I would like to know of any updates any one has heard on the process, interviews, etc.

thanks!! best of luck!!:p

Hey! I applied to the Kendall Campus! Why? LOL...

hi jennifer! well my GPA was 3.74, my girlfriend also got into the program with me and her GPA is 3.68.

We applied for Fall and did not get in bc we hadn't completed our foreign language so we were asked to defer in late July for the Winter so we did.

Then we called on Tuesday to enssure the received our new transcripts at AO told us they had and called us back to see if we wanted to change to the Kendall campus so we did.

And Wednesday we got a Congratulatory E-Mail! That's about it!

GOOD LUCK!!!

i work for baptist too! don't leave!

hey jennifer I was just wondering because I also applied to kendall & I got in =] I got my letter through email friday im so excited!!

Specializes in Icu.

Does anyone know how the magnus portal works?

Futurenurse, the magnus health portal works like this: You can set up your background check and upload your immunization records online and have that requirement co pleted. Instead of driving to the main campus to turn in the form and documents you can creat a profile on magnu health and upload the forms and document online. The administrators of the site will review the forms and documents and will approve their submital.

Vanesita and boo congratulations on your acceptance!! I have also been accepted to the kendall campus so glad we can all be together. Vanesita I also work for Baptist system ( part-time) are u going to stay working while in the program?

i also work part-time, i'm going on four years so i'd hate to leave :/ i'm just SO comfortable in my department and i have seniority on the schedule--i don't know. i currently have two jobs. so i'd be a crazy woman and do four 12 hour shifts throughout nursing school until i implode. some days some nights.

i've been keeping myself busy and looking up past class schedules for the first semester and it looks very doable with plenty of time to sleep and study and happy hour.

so for right now i'd say i'm keeping both jobs. if worse comes to worse i'll go per-diem. but i don't think you should leave Baptist at all.

I'm also going on four years. Currently I only work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) 12 hour shift. I believe I can handle that schedule during the nursing program because I want to attempt tuition reimbursement. If I need more time for school then I have decided to go per diem- but I'm not going to leave the company. It's becoming more difficult to get hired through Baptist especially if they are not going to have the scholars. And they have hired Jackson, experienced nurses since they are opening the new teaching hospital....

but you know what's weird? in the acceptance packet they send a baptist scholars form! it's such a tease!

i wanted to attempt tuition reimbursement too, who knows, maybe since we'll be under contract Baptist will have to hire us!

I know, I got it too! But I spoke to the director of the scholars program and my CNO- can't do anything. But they both suggested I do tuition reimbursement because we will be contracted. So that's my plan... I'm going to try to work part time just for the contract to possibly be hired later. It's a risk but it was suggested....its just such a bummer. Glad you got accepted. Do you in kendall?

i live close enough that it's convenient! i'm just happy to be accepted somewhere!
