Has anyone gone through the fellowship program at Emory for NPs? How was it and is it worth it? I'm a new grad NP and considering looking into it.

Not very high. Fellowships usually pay the same as physician senior residents' salaries so you're probably looking at 50-55K plus benefits and PTO. The real benefit comes after completion of the program, provided you applied yourself to the learning and market yourself appropriately and negotiate salary well based off your extra education.
You may find places that pay more than the 50-55K quoted but that salary is based on market rate in the area. Generally, NP fellows are paid less than RN's because funding for these program comes from an academic entity (such as a nursing school). I live in Northern California where our NP fellows are paid 100K for the year...but, a new grad RN in the same institution is started at 138K.

Most fellowship salaries are similar to MD residents. 50-60k. I was doing 80 hours a week on average, similar to a resident. Sucks but it was worth it. NP school didn't prepare me at all and I went to a "good" state school.
It's funny because for every other program I interviewed for, I asked a lot about hours etc or they shared up front. Emory didn't bring up hours at all and I completely forgot to ask. That's alright though. In my mind, I signed up for another year of school essentially except hopefully better quality/more rigorous than FNP was. Thankfully, my school has a concentration in my speciality and I took most of the acute care coursework. Otherwise, I'd be at a total loss.
