Now That the Semester is over....What Will You Do Better Next Semester

Published

So my first semester is oficially over. I know I am going to go though some withdrawal. I am already thinking ahead to next semester. Now that this semester is over, what do you plan to do different/better next semester?

Me:

I plan to study even harder than I did this semester

I plan be more organized

I plan to be more outgoing and make some good friends

there is 1 thing that i am going to do different this coming semester. i am going to create an ongoing study guid for every class. one that i add important information to after every class lecture...highlights, suggested reading, etc...

then, exams will be a breeze to study for and i won't be questioning wheather or not i think i have studied enough.

study guides really saved my orifice this last semester during the finals...and most teachers don't just hand one out...i suggest that everybody make a study guide for every class!!!!

that's a great idea!! i think i will do this one!

i am going to get all of the "busy work" done before the next class starts! i have made flashcards for all of the drugs we are required to know the next semester, i am working on and plan to complete all assignments before the next semester begins! i hope that it will give me time to read and comprehend all of the material!

how do you get the information beforehand? ... especially which drugs you need to know? do you think completing the assignments ahead of time really allows the information to sink in or is it more of just getting it out of the way?

Not too much changing in my habits, but I will be more focused on staying ahead on drug cards and assignments that can be done month's in advance so they dont come bite me n the butt during crunch time at the end of the semester lol!!

Record all lectures

Take better notes, oops, uh, I should say that I will atually take notes this time.

Better time management, less socializing with friends

I already quit my part time job or that would be on my list too

and utilize my laptop more to keep lectures and notes organized better.

Make more time for fun stuff with my kids!

I am going to read more of the textbook. I promise. :p

i'm going to start regularly doing nclex questions and hopefully also start becoming more familiar with meds b/c they're definitely an area of weakness

:DI am going to make plans so i dont have to study too much (i don't even have that much time anyways)

i am already reading and doing my exercises ahead!

will pay a whole lot of extra attention on class, even turn cell off, because i do not want none to send me a text!

i will tape the lecture

as soon as the class is over i will STAY in my chair, and rewrite my onw notes, right there on the spot, while the info is still fresh

i will read my previous notes before class

i will not go to fast food places!

i even bough a lunch bag so i can pack my rabbit food (salad)

Good idea about the lunch bag. Gotta get me one.

And also, go to sleep earlier, period.

Stop watching so much TV.

actually study on the bus and not daydream

read through powerpoints before lecture and after lecture

write down questions to ask the lecturer after reading the powerpoints

I will be kinder to my family in times of stress, my poor husband and kids have put up with a lot of crap from me.

I will stop procrastinating - this is what made me a crazy woman in the first semester.

I will enjoy this time and make some really good lifelong friends.

I plan on reading my chapters ahead of time opposed to cramming a few nights before the exam

we get the sylabus beforehand, it includes all of our drugs. we have so much busy work, that i don't always have time to do all of the reading and let the information from the assignment "sink in". i am hoping that by doing it during the break (i have been working like mad) i will have more time to digest the material and to know it inside and out!
