  1. What bothers me the most is at my facility badges have RN, then BSN on them, just b/c we have an ADN doesn't mean we are any less a nurse but having a BSN deserves credit? I worked just as hard as they did and people do look at u differently, or they ask are u going back to school. No I am very happy with my ADN While it's great that you're happy with your ADN..i don't know; I think having a degree that takes twice as long to achieve DOES deserve credit.
  2. I don't know how the job market is in your area, but you might just want to take what you can get..especially if you don't have any other offers right now. either way, I'm not sure how the best way to go about asking is, but good luck!
  3. you don't have to pay union dues, but $ still comes out of your paycheck for something else if you don't (i forget what exactly). also, WHC is NOT the only hospital in DC with a union; CNMC is unionized, too.
  4. Mine starts on the 21st and is also a one year program. Here is what ours is supposed to be like: http://cnmc.org/nursing/internship/
  5. Ok, good to know. Hopefully I can put together a week of business casual clothes lol I'll be on the neuroscience unit. Good luck!
  6. Anyone else here with a 9/21 start date? Also, does anyone know the dress code for the first week of orientation? & do you have to wear certain colors of scrubs on the floor? Thanks!
  7. I don't think there's anything you can do right now about not having had any experience during school, so try not to get too down on yourself about that. You may have to start applying to jobs that aren't in neonatal nursing or pediatrics just to get some experience.
  8. I graduated in June & passed boards in the beginning of August. I have been interviewing, but I won't hear anything back until next week. However, I live in Philly at the moment and have not had any interviews there. Unfortunately, you may have to look outside of where you WANT to live or what you WANT to do and try something new. As far as the "why haven't you been working?" question...I haven't gotten that one yet, but if someone were to ask, I would just say that I had been searching and hadn't found a position yet. That should be easy enough to understand in this economy. Good luck!
  9. Has anyone gotten a response from the recruiter about this?
  10. Did you guys try searching for your name under "license verification" on your state BON's website? My results aren't up on pearsonvue, but my name/license number is up on the BON site.
  11. :D :D :D i passed!! so the trick worked for me, too. thanks for putting up w/all my questions, guys :)
  12. mine changed from hat message to the other pop-up in a few hours..i think it might have been b/c i'm a really quick test taker and took the 75 questions in ~40 min. i'll let you know when i get the quick result though

have you graduated? Your school should give you info about registering.
  14. Mine is actually saying that now, too. Someone in another thread said it just means the results are being reviewed.
  15. lol, thanks :) It changed to this now: The candidate currently has test results that are on hold. A new registration cannot be created at this time. idk. i'm pretty sure i'm driving my boyfriend nuts. hahah
