Anyone else starting RN-BSN November 1?

KaLyn, did you find the info on all the courses? I guess I'm just a good cyber snoop because I found all that before I even applied! :) I also need the Health Assessments, Biochem, and Stats in addition to the nursing courses. Frustrating that I've taken 2 stats classes before, but they were both more than 5 years ago. Oh well. I'm excited to get started!

I spoke with my mentor tonight. I am starting with Biochem. I do have to retake Nutrition...she said "everyone does now." But then I have all my nursing classes after that. I would love to knock this off in 6 months. But I am also feeling the reality of "school" and life tipping out of control (hello ADN! yikes, don't want to relive that again!)

November peeps, come request to join the fun on the WGU RN to BSN Discussion Group on facebook. Lots of support for the newbies!

thanks :) just requested!

ready to rock and roll on this.

Ugh thinking of dropping Uta due to their insane pre req requirements and just doing wgu. Was concerned about the 3.0 but whose to say I'll get any higher with Uta considering my gpa is like a 3.12. And that flat rate sounds good

WGU rocks, and if you are sufficiently motivated can be the most affordable option. :) My 50 units cost me 3500. Can't beat that price!

Just curious if you guys have figured out what you are taking first?!

Featherz-- just curious..... to finish in the 6 months how many hours a week did you devote to school? And did you take your proctored tests online or at an assessment center?

Just got off the phone with my mentor and she has my 1st term set up as: 1) Biochem, 2) Community Health, 3) Nutrition, 4) Care of Older Adult.

I'm planning on following the 20 day plan for Biochem. I'm wondering how many hours a day you end up working to accomplish it in 20 day?

Is that your question over on facebook? I'm heather over there if it was. :) Biochem depends on how much time you have to work at it. I did it over 5 days (not including grading time) but I did probably 5 hours a day on each task. Not sure how much time to spend if you do it over 20 days, but probably no more than a few hours each day.

I did at least 6 hours/day during the week before and after work, more on weekends. Not recommended for anyone except the truly nuts. :)
