Hi future nurses! I've been searching for a recent forum of the BSN program for Winter 2014 but couldn't find any so I decided to make one myself. I applied to the Winter 2014 BSN program at NOVA. All my prereqs are done, my GPA is 3.7 and my science GPA is 3.5. I was hoping to receive feedback from anyone who has applied in the past or is currently applying like myself to the Winter 2014 program! Have any of you gotten an interview call yet?:nailbiting:
I've heard that while in the program working is not recommended. I guess we'll have to live on loans which is = debtttt!!! -_- I know how you feel because Im in the same boat. This waiting time is driving me crazy.
Did they tell you to wait until December 1st also ? I would like to know what I'm doing over here with loans so I know how much to request, it's really ridiculous. This is all because they keep extending the deadline to apply so we get pushed back
Just trying to get a feel for what people do for work while they are in nursing school...does anyone work full time? part time? not at all? and if so , how do you do it?! I am trying to think of how I will pay my rent/bills with no work or a part time job. Any suggestions? BTW, I am going on my third week this coming Friday for being on "hold" so I am still hoping for a miracle!
I work at a hospital part time and I have to keep my job while in the program because they're paying for some of my school and i'm guaranteed a job as soon as I get my license. It's gonna be reaaally interesting to see how it's going to work out, lol.
I know!! They just told me I had to wait. they didn't give any specific date or anything. I am also concerned because I live in Jacksonville, so if I do get accepted I would have to start looking for an apartment over there like ASAP!! this is so frustrating yet I am going to wait until the last moment to see what happens. -_______-

They are brand new apartments starting at 1200 a month for a one bedroom and like 98% of people there are in NSU. I love it and it's right across from it !
Oh can you give me the name of the appts so I can call them and ask them if they are going to have appts available by december? I just dont know what to do because nothing is granted until december.. If you prefer you can send me a private message :) I would appreciate it.
I just sent you a message :)
Where do you live?? @ kristeen It's so frustrating that they haven't made a final decision yet.. I need to plan ahead of time many things in case I get in so I would need a response not later than december 1st. I emailed them once and I do not want to do it again. I'll just wait for them to make a decision..
