Nova Southeastern University Entry Level BSN Winter 2014

Published

Hi future nurses! I've been searching for a recent forum of the BSN program for Winter 2014 but couldn't find any so I decided to make one myself. I applied to the Winter 2014 BSN program at NOVA. All my prereqs are done, my GPA is 3.7 and my science GPA is 3.5. I was hoping to receive feedback from anyone who has applied in the past or is currently applying like myself to the Winter 2014 program! Have any of you gotten an interview call yet?:nailbiting::nailbiting:

Were you put on hold? @yankeesgirl907

I was put on hold until Dec 1st - or around there when the interviews are finished. Might be sooner I find out but not sure

Did they give you a reason why you were out on hold?

They want to wait until interviews are over on dec 1 and then compare me to the rest of the kaplan scores. It might be before dec though she said

Hi! Do you have courses in progress? Or have you already finished all of your prerequisites?

I have statistics, nutrition and micro in progress

Hello everyone I was put on hold as well, but received a phone call today informing me of my acceptance! I've also been accepted to the ASBSN program UM. Any thoughts? I know the key difference is duration of the program: 1 yr vs a little over 2 yrs. I'm torn because I know they both are great schools!

How long were you on hold for before you found out ? Also , how was your kaplan

I received a letter stating I was put on hold-dated Oct 23rd. I received a phone call this afternoon. I got a 69% on my kaplan, an overall GPA of 3.3 and a Science GPA of about 3.7. I provided recommendation letters-though they weren't required and have a good background of experience. The interview was nerve-racking to say the least, but I think I presented myself well, responded properly and asked as many questions as I could. I also felt I did well on the essay. Have you had your interview/test?

Congratulations ! and thank you for your feedback. I hope to see you in January ! Only reason I was asking is because I have been seeing people get accepted with lower GPA's than me and higher kaplan scores..some were around what I have in the 60's but lower GPA's also. I was just trying to figure out what exactly they were doing here thats all. I hate waiting !!!! I was told I would get an answer most likely around Dec 1 or after because the interviews are still in progress which is nuts. I am going this friday to register for Chamberlain and do my background check to pay $150. If I get accepted to Nova, I will have to just eat the money I lost because Nova is where I really want to go.

One more question, do you have classes in progress?

I was put on hold for one week before I got accepted to the Kendall campus!
