Nova Southeastern University Entry Level BSN Winter 2014

Hi future nurses! I've been searching for a recent forum of the BSN program for Winter 2014 but couldn't find any so I decided to make one myself. I applied to the Winter 2014 BSN program at NOVA. All my prereqs are done, my GPA is 3.7 and my science GPA is 3.5. I was hoping to receive feedback from anyone who has applied in the past or is currently applying like myself to the Winter 2014 program! Have any of you gotten an interview call yet?:nailbiting::nailbiting:

How is everyone paying for school? I only have 34,000 left in government student loans so I would need a private one but wondering how everyone else is doing it? the program is 24,000 a year I believe but not sure if anyone sat with financial aid that could share

@yankeesgirl907, I actually just submitted my documents to financial aid yesterday. So, I have no idea what I will qualify for. Whatever the pell grant plus student loan don't cover, will probably require a private loan (in my case, at least). I'm really hoping I won't need a private loan but I'll cross that bridge when I get there. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. :-/

I'm in the same boat as you. I took out loans previously for my other bachelor's and I'm close to the limit. I applied for financial aid and they didn't give me anywhere near what I need. I got offered a federal work study grant, which I have no clue about because I've never had it before. I heard it's around $9,000 a semester, but I'm still waiting on getting signed up for classes so I can get the official number. Definitely will have to take out private loans though.

How do you get the work study ?! See, I can't apply for a private loan until I know where im going because I don't know how much to take out ! Chamberlain for example told me I need to pay around 2000-4000 a semester because my loan doesn't cover the whole amount of classes but she told me "only take out what you need" well how do I keep requesting loan money every semester ? Wouldn't it make sense to ask for like 30,000 as opposed to just 2000 every semester ?!
