Nova Southeastern University Entry Level BSN Winter 2014

Published

Hi future nurses! I've been searching for a recent forum of the BSN program for Winter 2014 but couldn't find any so I decided to make one myself. I applied to the Winter 2014 BSN program at NOVA. All my prereqs are done, my GPA is 3.7 and my science GPA is 3.5. I was hoping to receive feedback from anyone who has applied in the past or is currently applying like myself to the Winter 2014 program! Have any of you gotten an interview call yet?:nailbiting::nailbiting:

Yea I'm going to the Main Campus! I'm waiting to find out about UCF's daytona or cocoa beach campus first thought. i find out tomorrow hopefully! And then I'll have to decide! Are you going to the main campus?

Hi kkong123,

How was the exam?

Please let us know how was the interview...

The exam is boring! The paragraphs were soooo long. Before the interview , I actually felt very nervous because I have never attended an interview before. There were 4 people interviewers and 4 interviewees in my group. They first ask each of us a personal question then they proceed to ask a group question. We had to work out a scenario with our group then present them to the interviewers. The interview went by really quick , I felt like it was 10 mins but we actually in there for 30 mins . lol. I hope this helps! Good Luck!

They should of left it at either an interview or an entry exam. It's not like they had too many applicants, actually...they extended the deadline because they did not have enough applicants. So I don't understand why they had to add the test on, I'm so stressed..I have been studying for four days straight and I feel like it's not good enough. I have no idea what to expect with math or science. Science is so broad..i am hoping for a miracle. Like I said before, I am more nervous about the interview questions than anything..I know I will turn red from my chest to my face.

Anyone who had their interview for the main campus on Oct 9th heard anything yet regarding acceptance? Today is 2 weeks and I still don't have any information. I'm just a little anxious.

I had my interview on the 9th and still nothing. The last I heard regarding my application was they needed to verify my credits were valid from BC, which she said is the process for every applicant. Then I'd hear something officially. I hope to hear something back by this week! I am, however, registered for BC's nursing program as a back-up, just in case Nova doesn't accept me. I really want Nova though. Lol

At this point, i would be nervous to be put on a "hold" then again I freak out for everything. I just finished the Kaplan test and let me just say , it's not easy. I did not do too well...I am worried, very worried. I am looking at some peoples average and it seems to be in the 70's . I hope I have a chance, how did you do on it?

@yankeesgirl907 how did you end up doing on the kaplan?

You really want to know lol .. It was horrible !

Don't be too worried. The Kaplan was kind of just told to us it was a requirement 3 weeks before the interview. They did say the test was just going to be taken into account, but it wouldn't be the only factor in their decision. If u did well on the interview, essay, and your GPA is strong I feel like that is something they cannot ignore and hopefully for you and I both the Kaplan doesn't play the major part in their decision.
