Nova Southeastern University Entry Level BSN Winter 2014

Hi future nurses! I've been searching for a recent forum of the BSN program for Winter 2014 but couldn't find any so I decided to make one myself. I applied to the Winter 2014 BSN program at NOVA. All my prereqs are done, my GPA is 3.7 and my science GPA is 3.5. I was hoping to receive feedback from anyone who has applied in the past or is currently applying like myself to the Winter 2014 program! Have any of you gotten an interview call yet?:nailbiting:

When I spoke to Mallory on Thursday from the BSN program, she said that after the test and the interview, they wait two weeks to make a decision. The decision can either be " Accept" " Hold" or "Deny" she also said that HOLD isn't always a bad thing, it could mean that the person was not a strong interviewer and they want to wait until they finish doing the interviewing and then compare that person to the others or that they want to wait until your final transcript gets there. For me, my final will not be posted at Broward College until Dec 18th or so. Im nervous about that because I am not doing well in micro because it's just an overload of info and working full time while taking four classes isn't easy. I am actually considering part time literally so I can finish this semester without failing. I am an A average student so this is just killing me making me think they won't take me and it's a science grade. Im so nervous..my interview is Wed !

Don't stress the interview too much just remember to be yourself because they are always writing stuff down once you start saying something. Good luck on your interview!!!!

I totally understand your feeling. I had my interview on the 25th of September and I kept on emailing and calling the school to see if they already mailed our or email anyone. STAY POSITIVE!:)

I appreciate it. It's only been 1 entire week of waiting for me. I wouldn't say I'm very nervous. I'm more what I would consider anxious. I want to focus on prepping for first semester as soon as I can. I hear from my wife (who is a nurse) and many others that the first semester is rough. There is always a possibility that I won't be accepted though I would want to know what factor played into that decision if I am not accepted. I will always find a way though. I WILL NOT BE DENIED!!!!! (Thought I would end it dramatically got entertainment purposes)

This may sound weird but I am more nervous about the interview than I am the test. I don't know what to expect on the science though...and I have to say, the vocab I have rarely seen before! Does anyone live in the new apartments Signature at Davie by Nova? if so, lets get together and study!

@yankeesgirl Lol I was more nervous for the interview too. So nervous that while I was taking the kaplan I couldn't concentrate because I kept thinking about the damn interview! Don't worry about the vocab.....the science is whats random as heck! Everything I studied wasn't on it. It's just so random.

Is there anyone going to kendall campus here!?!? I kinda wish I applied to the main campus!

Hey guys I just got an email saying I was accepted into the program! I had my interview on Oct 17! Now my only problem is figuring out how to pay for it. lol

This is what I am scared of ...being put in the "hold" group. Although Mallory said this isn't always a bad thing, who likes to be put on hold? lol. Anyway, if I do get accepted, there is a chance I am sure when Nova receives my final transcript from BC with my four remaining classes on it ..they can deny me at that point. I am so scared about my micro. I think the best I will get right now is a C sadly. My first C that can happen right? getting accepted and then getting denied..I am sure. Thats really my only worry right now because everything else is fine. ughhh the stress.
