I haven't seen a post about NSU's Entry-level BSN program for Fall 2015 so I decided to start one. If there is another thread that everyone else is on, please let me know! I double-checked to make sure there weren't any posts hiding but I could be wrong.
Anyway, I am waiting for my final transcripts to be sent to Nova. Other than that, now it's just the waiting game and I'm super anxious. They wont be calling people until Feb or March probably. I finished my AA with Broward College this December. I underestimated application deadlines and the application process to get everything together so unfortunately I will have a semester off from school.
I also applied to FAU's Traditional BSN program. I have a thread about that as well if you also applied to that school. You can jump over to that thread by clicking here
If all else fails I was thinking of just going back to Broward College, possibly their North campus.
If anyone has any stories or advice/knowledge about any of these programs, please share! If you're an applicant to NSU as well, good luck! Hope we get the responses that we want.
Thank you NurseTica and Belky84! I really hope they give me a chance at the interview after this class is all said and done. It's encouraging because they could have just rejected from the moment I answered the phone so you're both right, there's still time. Interviews will be going on through July so I'm glad I have a chance! Thank you both for being super encouraging too
As for the science course I plan on taking, I was going to go back to BC to do it since the process to sign up for classes is easier and I'm more familiar with it. I thought of taking the class at Nova but I'm not considered a student there I think. I'm also a student at FAU (since I had to apply as a transfer first before applying to the program) so I have choices there too (at least for the Davie campus, since it's much closer)
Right now the classes that are open at BC are limited since registration has been open for a while for the Summer term. The only classes that are open with good teachers are Astronomy and Oceanography. I wanted to take General Biology just to get back into topics that are closer to Nursing rather than Astronomy but the teachers I saw weren't too good. I know it's not a good time to be picky and if I really want to pass, it's up to me not the teacher but I can't help but want to find a good teacher lol.
Cmocta yes you are right it's not a definite no, plus is was kind of them to give you an opportunity you must have impressed them in other areas of your application. Maybe you can consider an mdc campus to take the class? I know they have pretty good bio teachers there, if it's possible give it a try. Good luck!
Congrats to everyone who has been accepted!! I have been reading the posts on this thread and it makes me feel a lot more calm. I am super anxious, I have my interview April 2nd.
Congratulations Carlita!! You are correct, we (from Miami campus) go to the main campus on Mondays (for Advanced A&P i believe) :). They mentioned that there is another day during the week where we teleconference and take a class together but Miami campus has the option to go to main campus if they want :)
For those that got into the Miami Campus - are you working on your Baptist application? I am almost done with mine, waiting on one more recommendation! I wasn't sure if I should submit it right away or wait...the application said they start reviewing applications in May?
Omg I just register for my Interview and kaplan test on April 16th and I am starting to get anxious. hope that everything goes well and will keep you guys posted.
