Hi everyone!
I haven't seen a post about NSU's Entry-level BSN program for Fall 2015 so I decided to start one. If there is another thread that everyone else is on, please let me know! I double-checked to make sure there weren't any posts hiding but I could be wrong.
Anyway, I am waiting for my final transcripts to be sent to Nova. Other than that, now it's just the waiting game and I'm super anxious. They wont be calling people until Feb or March probably. I finished my AA with Broward College this December. I underestimated application deadlines and the application process to get everything together so unfortunately I will have a semester off from school.
I also applied to FAU's Traditional BSN program. I have a thread about that as well if you also applied to that school. You can jump over to that thread by clicking here
If all else fails I was thinking of just going back to Broward College, possibly their North campus.
If anyone has any stories or advice/knowledge about any of these programs, please share! If you're an applicant to NSU as well, good luck! Hope we get the responses that we want.
Congrats to everyone again who got their acceptance to the program! (:
I'm currently on the phone with them right now but I've been on hold for a while. Super anxious D:
@Tiblada I'm not so sure about your situation, I'm sorry! I think you'll be granted grade forgiveness (I've retaken anatomy before as well as math classes too) Finish off strong and give them a call! Your situation may be different since you're a licensed cna already too so it depends. I hope you find out soon (:
@Tiblada: I would probably speak with an adviser/ attend an open house and speak with someone one on one. I'm sure they will offer accurate advice on what steps to take towards admission from your standpoint. Like cmocta stated, being a CNA merits a different path than a non experienced entry level student.
I had to run off to work right after my phone call with them so I'm finally at home settled down lol.
The lady I spoke with answered my questions but it still leads me to having to ask another person. She told me that everything was okay with my application and that they are still making decisions and deciding who to call back for interviews, so for everyone on the same boat as me on waiting for an interview invite, we're still good!
She added that they will email me (with the email I provided on the application) if I have been selected. From there I can choose the date/time. I know some people received a phone call so I guess it depends.
As for my other situation on being out of town, I have to contact another person. The lady on the phone gave me the information to contact the other person. The lady on the phone didn't give me a date for when they'll cut off interviews, so I may ask the other person to find out.
I feel somewhat relieved after that phone call!
Welcome, adrianae! I'm glad you find this thread helpful. I'm also glad this thread became more populated because I was worried that no one would find this when I first made it. Its good that they followed up on your application and that everything went okay!
I will now continue to check my email religiously, even during ridiculous hours of the day/night
Hey guys, just wanted to let all of you know that it's still very soon for interviews, to my understanding so far there have only been 3 groups interviewed for the Fall entering class! That means that there is still plenty of seats available. Stay hopefull and call them, they like that, they like knowing that you are on top of your stuff.
