Hi everyone!
I haven't seen a post about NSU's Entry-level BSN program for Fall 2015 so I decided to start one. If there is another thread that everyone else is on, please let me know! I double-checked to make sure there weren't any posts hiding but I could be wrong.
Anyway, I am waiting for my final transcripts to be sent to Nova. Other than that, now it's just the waiting game and I'm super anxious. They wont be calling people until Feb or March probably. I finished my AA with Broward College this December. I underestimated application deadlines and the application process to get everything together so unfortunately I will have a semester off from school.
I also applied to FAU's Traditional BSN program. I have a thread about that as well if you also applied to that school. You can jump over to that thread by clicking here
If all else fails I was thinking of just going back to Broward College, possibly their North campus.
If anyone has any stories or advice/knowledge about any of these programs, please share! If you're an applicant to NSU as well, good luck! Hope we get the responses that we want.
I called in yesterday because I was curious how my application process was going and the lady who picked up the phone said it was still pending, i did ask her if it was a problem if I didn't have all my prereqs until summer A. She basically said that I have to send my transcripts again once I choose my classes and once more when I'm done. I am scared that might be a problem and not get picked but yet again there's no reason to be pessimistic, so I'll see you guys around campus I know all us will be NOVA SHARKS!
Thank you NurseTica! I really hope to join you this fall as well! :D
And thanks daniel.silga008 lol From what I'm understanding, you're still in the middle of finishing up your pre-reqs so it does make sense that she would want you to send the transcripts over again. I'm not sure how soon they would have wanted you to finish the classes by but since you have your applications in and since you'll be done after the summer it should be no problem.
I'm nervous to call them because I feel like since I'm not hearing from them anyway then that means they're not interested or that there is a huge pool of applicants this time that they still have to go through all of them. Like, I'm scared to call just for them to tell me no lol. I'm just being pessimistic though. I will definitely give them a call tomorrow and hope for the best!
I have a question, have any of you guys applied to financial aid already prior to being accepted? To be honest I don't know how any of that works and I was going to apply if once I get accepted (hopefully!) unless it would be too late. I thought it made sense rather than applying before even know if I'll be attending the program. Just wanted to know!

I always apply to.financial aid as soon as I do my taxes for that year. Appky through FAFSA - Professional help filing the FAFSA form – Federal Student Aid you can.apply before getting accepted.. ur just done with that step ahead of.time. I just got my acceptance packet in the mail today.. a lot of things to look forward to lol financial aid application is one thing.. also paying $200 seat deposit that will be deducted from tuition, background checks, register for orientation, update immunization records and also proof of health insurance... things to look forward too.. lol.. good luck everyone..and those still waiting for that interview call.. there is a lot of time.left soo dont be pessimistic.. you'll get a call.. and it doesn't hurt to call. They actually like too see you're on top of things.
Thank you, NurseTica! I'll definitely get that done in the meantime then.
And that's awesome! It must be exciting lol. It sounds like a lot of work though, and I thought applying to the program itself was enough work already haha. Thank you also for the uplifting words! You're right, it's still too early. I'm also going out of town soon (hoping they won't call me during that time) so before that I might as well get the financial aid application started.
I said I was going to call but I got caught up between work and getting too anxious to call so I'm going to make myself call on Monday lol.
Yes I'm going to call asap on monday. I already sent them an email explaining the situation but I never got a response. Mentioning that I will be out of town gives me a better excuse to call along with a followup on my application lol Thank you! On their FAQs, they offer skype interviews but I really hope I get to come in person and properly introduce myself (even though the skype interview would make me feel less anxious lol)
As far as financial aid, i'm going to try to see a financial advisor to help me get go through the application because I haven't applied for financial aid since freshman year of college at Broward College.
Hello everyone!
This is my story lol I applied last year, went through the interview process and got accepted for winter 2015. Due to personal reasons I had to defer my acceptance to start fall 2015. I have already paid my 200 dollar deposit and now currently waiting on my new acceptance letter. For some reason I am worried but Nova has called me to follow up so I don[t think anything is going to happen. I just cant wait to start already!!
