Hi everyone!
I haven't seen a post about NSU's Entry-level BSN program for Fall 2015 so I decided to start one. If there is another thread that everyone else is on, please let me know! I double-checked to make sure there weren't any posts hiding but I could be wrong.
Anyway, I am waiting for my final transcripts to be sent to Nova. Other than that, now it's just the waiting game and I'm super anxious. They wont be calling people until Feb or March probably. I finished my AA with Broward College this December. I underestimated application deadlines and the application process to get everything together so unfortunately I will have a semester off from school.
I also applied to FAU's Traditional BSN program. I have a thread about that as well if you also applied to that school. You can jump over to that thread by clicking here
If all else fails I was thinking of just going back to Broward College, possibly their North campus.
If anyone has any stories or advice/knowledge about any of these programs, please share! If you're an applicant to NSU as well, good luck! Hope we get the responses that we want.
what questions do they ask in the interview? just to be a little bit prepared. Thanks for all your replies, I appreciate a lot
They might ask you different questions, but they asked us to describe ourselves, to give two qualities we thought a nurse should have, and to describe how we handled having to give someone bad news. They also give you scenarios and ask how you would handle them, which you have to answer as a group.
Like other people have said, they're just trying to get to know you. So be yourself, and try not to sound too reheorificed.
Congrats Daniel! That's really exciting You're going to do well on that interview I'm sure of it lol.
I received a call from Sharifa as well. Unfortunately, it wasn't the same news for me lol. My GPA for the sciences alone are a little under the requirements that the College of Nursing is asking for. I was offered to take a science course and as long as I receive an "A", it should bring up my GPA and I should be set! It's not a guarantee for an interview, though. I felt a little embarrassed about my situation. I took up on the offer and by the end of June, I should have my answer :) It's a little bit more work but definitely worth a shot since she was suggesting the idea.

Definitely a great option and such a great opportunity they allow you to take it with them. Im sure you will do great. Just hang in there till the last moment. There is still a lot of time left between now and when classes start. I wish you nothing but the best. What course will you be taking. Maybe I could be a little help. Im great in chemistry lol
Cmocta, no need to feel embarrassed... everything happens for a reason. It's not a definite "no" which is good. On the contrary they gave you other options. You'll do great on the class you have to take and will then be considered again. Stay positive, there's still time. It'll work out!
