Nova Southeastern University BSN Fall 2019

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi all! It may be quite early for a Fall 2019 forum, but it's better to be prepared. I'm in the process of completing my pre-reqs at MDC and am projected to finish Spring 2019. So with that being said, my plan is to apply to NSU for the Fall 2019 nursing program. Anyone out there beginning their journey with admissions, etc. ?

I was curious, does everyone get an interview once they apply for the program?????

Like has there really been anyone who applied and never gets to the interview process and never heard back from the school? Because from what I see the interview is where they make a decison to accept you or not. I’m feeling just applying doesn’t mean much ??‍♀️

How long did they take to get back to you guys for th Davie campus? They told some people in my group by Monday and others 2 weeks

Hi I just applied to Nova and they’ve revived my time trancripts so i’m excited waiting on an email for the interview. I feel like with practice I can ace it but im ambivalent about the Kaplan test. i’ve been studying the book but i’m so nervous. If I have a 3.81 GPA and have A’s in almost nursing prerequisites. So if i completely bomb the exam what would be my chances of acceptance? I’m talking 30-50 score rate.

Also what is the essay like/topic?

Hey! Your GPA is awesome. If you got As in your classes and didn't struggle with the material, I feel like the Kaplan is something you shouldn't worry about! I doubt you would get a score anywhere close to a 30. Make sure you review your physiology and converting percentages to decimals, and vice versa. Anyways, if you do score low, your GPA is pretty high and I'm sure that can sort of cushion you a bit.

I got a call back In two days, but my interview was over a month ago so I'm sure they have a lot more applicants now, which I assume will slow down the process.

They took about 2 weeks to email me back. I think you need to have above a certain GPA and they apparently interview some people and then I think that’s what’s important to them also the test scores and Kaplan (like not completely failing it). If you are yourself and are nice and respectful then I think you’ll be fine. Everyone there is super nice. I fell in love with campus! Your GPA is the same as mine too girl!!

I got the call earlier this afternoon, I’m so excited!

Did they tell you how long it would take at the interview?

I just got the notification for an interview with nova! any tips on how to study for the kaplan exam and what score you guys got? please let me know! thank you! so nervous and excited:)

They said that we would be getting something in the mail like three weeks after the interview, but I heard that the office of admission calls you (I got my call a week and one day from my interview). As for the Kaplan I got a 76. I would mainly focus on the science portion. It's basically 100% physiology and I used a bunch of different quizlets and just kept reviewing them. Good luck!

I had an interview yesterday! I took the Kaplan and scored an 82.. my GPA is a 3.8, but I’m scared because they told me 2-3 weeks and then other people in my group by Monday ?
