  1. Hi! I applied to Nova and am currently in their program now. It's my second week, but so far so good! My professors are great. I believe my friend had a 3.7ish GPA if I'm remembering correctly, and around an 85-87 overall on the TEAS. He also had 200 volunteer hours. Hope that helps!
  2. Hey guys! For the Ft. Lauderdale/Davie campus, has anyone started a group chat? If so, please let me know!
  3. Hey guys! I didn’t end up applying to FIU but my friend got accepted like two days ago so they’re definitely sending acceptance letters now.
  4. I got a call back In two days, but my interview was over a month ago so I'm sure they have a lot more applicants now, which I assume will slow down the process.
  5. Hey! Your GPA is awesome. If you got As in your classes and didn't struggle with the material, I feel like the Kaplan is something you shouldn't worry about! I doubt you would get a score anywhere close to a 30. Make sure you review your physiology and converting percentages to decimals, and vice versa. Anyways, if you do score low, your GPA is pretty high and I'm sure that can sort of cushion you a bit.
  6. I hope you get in! How do you think you did overall?
  7. Wow, that's crazy. I feel like people make it seem like getting accepted is harder than is really is? Do you know what their GPAs were?
  8. Hello! To be honest, I'm not totally sure how the admissions team decides who to accept into the program. Your GPA is awesome, and it helps that you have that experience. Were they able to know that you had those five years of hospital experience? Also, I'm sure that there are many nursing applicants whose first language is also not English (especially in South FL) and I would hope that they would be understanding of that. Your science score is good, compared to mine at least! I've heard of people getting accepted with a score in the 60s, so you aren't too far off! How do you think you did on the interview?
  9. Congrats!! Fort Lauderdale/Miami is awesome! Which campus?
  10. Don't be worried about the essay! We had to write about a scenario involving teamwork. What I do recommend though is brushing up on your physiology for the Kaplan!
  11. Yes, I had mine on the 19th. The campus is so pretty!
  12. You'll do great! Just be yourself, everyone is nervous just like you. Good luck!!
  13. I GOT IN!!!!! I just got the call!! YAY!!
  14. I’m not really sure. I blanked out a during one of the questions but I feel like I’m overthinking it... I guess we’ll find out soon and I’ll let you guys know what happens. I think I did okay on the Kaplan with a 77. The scores in my group ranged from 72-84.
  15. My GPA is currently a 3.5
